351 awhp, Stock evo 8 turbo, Pump gas
Hey every one, just got back from AMS today. I went in for a dyno flash and the numbers were amazing. My mods are all osted in my Sinature. Erik and Martin both commented on how it made more AWHP then almost any other stock evo 8 turbo car on pump gas. The numbers are 351.8 awhp and 333.9 tourqe at 23-24 psi spike, and holding 21-22 to redline!. And they were saying applying other companies correction factor the car would have put down over 360 awhp. GREAT JOB!!! on the tune guys! Id like to do a race gas tune and run some crazy boost....perhaps in the summer.....thanks again guys, peace out-

the first pull was 287 awhp, it was spiking 1.5 bar with out the tune so he was saying that it retarded all timing, thats why he tuned it to make so much more power from the base

Wow, those are definitely huge numbers for pump gas on an 05 turbo. We normally see a lot of 300-310 whp cars on the AMS dyno. I don't really know what you mean by "other people's correction factors," since the dyno itself applies the correction factor, but the numbers are good. It's rare that you see 05s running such high boost on pump gas, but it appears to be working on your car. You also probably do not still have 22 or even 21psi at 7k (using a MAP sensor to verify), but it doesn't really matter. What matters is the power you're making.
The only thing that surprises me is that you are running such high boost, yet your peak torque is so low. It should be about 20 points higher than the WHP, not 20 points lower...weird.

To have the manifold portmatched to a gasket was $100. There is almost an 1/8th of an inch in material taken away. As fas has polishing, i did that myself and just smoothed out the original cast markings. Im sure AMS would do this for you aswell but the price would increase. But all and all im sure some of the power im making comes from that. So i would call them and find out more on it from them!
