The vendor never said the diffuser was a real voltex product. They marketed
the diffuser as a replica and it's produced by NRG Innovations. evo ippo seems
to have his panties in a bunch because he's stuck on name brands. I can
understand if the product is know to fit like crap then it would make sence
but the fact is, nobody knows!!

Yeah the MSRP was 700 but they said to IM them for their price, which I bet was
450 mark to just take a guess. Again who cares if someone else sells the parts if it
fits well? If it doesn't then thats another story but nobody knows what that diffuser
fits like. Just think your makig a big deal about nothing, and if Invision doesn't sell
it, it's only a matter of time before another one does. Mark my words!!

Okkkkkkk we are not saying Invison is making them it already clear that NRG is the one knocking off the Voltex Rear Diffuser the big deal is that if we still sit around and not care that people are knocking off great products then what the point we should all be driving around in our parents tercel with gtr badge on it and a type r sticker on the side man what if you spent $700 on a part and driving around for a year nothing happens then the brackets breaks off when your on the freeway and destroys your part. then you find out it because the company who makes it skimp out on the quality of materials thats why it didnt withstand the abuse how would you feel after that???????? see but this is still a what if situation

There are clearly two schools of thought on the "knock off" fight. There are also numerous threads on EvoM that have covered the topic. IMO your beating a dead horse. Don't like it, Don't buy it.

Dude it's a piece of carbon fiber..lol..and how the hell do you know the voltex product
won't do the SAME EXACT thing but cost TWICE as much as the NRG one? They are
not the same same price so get that out of your head. If it fits well and is made more
affordable then what is the problem? I personally wouldn't buy either but hate when
brand ****** knock something just cause the paid more for a product that looks
like a cheaper one.

Why would anyone buy a replica that cost as much as the real thing?
Makes no sense imo.

No you like parts with an expensive name on it and that doesn't always imply quality. It would probably suprise you how many of the "labelled quality" parts originate from the same factory as lesser known brands. Is the quality any different then?

At the end of the day, if your buying something its up to you to ensure your buying the real thing from a reputable dealer. If you don't get the real thing thats your fault.

Moot point for this particular part anyway. I'd hazard that the only time attacking/circuit racing (where the effects of this part would really matter) some of the cars that run this product on this site do is from Home to Work/grocery store .

Very True off course there company where product a was made in and product b was made at the same facility. but it more a security thing when you buy a product from brand a you know that the parts met the company standards and that they feel comfortable to put their name on it. of course company b came out of the same factory a company you never heard of before but they have proof that their product was made along with product a but this time it more of a gamble you sort of want to save half the money buy product b with the risk if product b is junk then you end up having to buy product a again you are a$$ out of more money you heard the phrase "Do it right the First Time"

Who cares? How is it your place to tell people how they should spend their money? Functionality? Do you truly believe for a second that even a substantial minority of people who use that diffuser care much about the functionality of the piece? If a vendor wishes to sell replica pieces cheaper than the originals, clearly that vendor is intelligent enough to realize a substantial market exists for such a product. Frankly it's idiotic to charge $800 for a diffuser that is only partially CF (but mostly fiberglass) just because it's Voltex JDM-tizzite dawwggg.

Maybe the reason cheap replica pieces sell so well is because plenty of Evo owners barely stretch to make the payments on their car and simply don't have much mod money left over? I'm not one from that group - mine was paid for in cash and in any case I'm a student - but step back and think for a moment...

Just my opinion.
