Beware Of Devo Tuning!!!
Iam sure a lot of you know Devo and he's a good guy and all but I know ImprezvSE and am sure he wouldn't post his story up if he didn't believe others needed to know about it.
Iam glad to here he got the driveshaft but returning a phone call or answering a phone IS NOT THAT DIFFICULT. I waited over a month for a body kit when it was advertised as in stock however every time I called that Shop they answered and Guaranteed I would get my Kit. They even sent me a tracking number when the item was shipped.

BUNCH OF CRY BABYS ON THIS FOURM ITS RIDICULAS!!!!!
Devo is an honest guy and does some of the sickest builds around. He's a small operation, so some of the things the bigger shops are able to provide he simply cannot. The driveshafts are a fraction of the cost of the competitors and he gets them out as soon as QM gets them to him. I understand people's frustrations, but when dealing w/ the automotive aftermarket community, waiting for parts is the norm. I'm sure that once the shaft is installed you will forget all about the wait
If there was a waiting list then I should have been told that from the begining before taking my money and I wasn't. Also the word skam never came out of my mouth, and I also never questioned the quality of the part. If Devo wants to keep threads like this from starting, it's pretty simple they just need way better customer service. This has been an honest, truthfull review and I feel Devo should use it as good old constructive criticism.
There are WAY too many threads that jump on vendors about these kinds of issues. Either get a refund and buy it from somewhere else, if you can, or develop some patience. DEVO is well known. They're not taking your money. There are just common delays in parts manufacture, which are often out of the vendor's control.
I understand where your coming from i would be pissed too. The thing you gotta understand about Devo is he is a one man shop. He has to answer calls and work on cars, place orders do estimates all by himself. i know these arent excuses for him not to contact you but hes trying to make all his customers happy. Like stated before in the thread he has people coming in all the time without appointments looking to get work done that honestly he probably forgets about the other stuff he was doing. I waited a while for the driveshaft and the day it came in he called and i went and picked it up. Hes a good shop and wont screw you over
Problem is, I believe this unit is made-to-order, and the work is outsourced. So, DEVO is subject to any back ups or problems the welding shop has. There is no way to predict this. We AND Devo are at the mercy of a 3rd party . . .
Communication is a big issue, though. I have a shop I deal with that ALWAYS says "I'll check and call you back by the end of the day." Over the course of 2 years and multiple dealings I've heard this 10-20 times, but they have NEVER called back. I always wait a couple days then call them again. Because of this, I never buy anything from them that I can get somewhere else. . .
JONDemand was the same way. I was one of the lucky ones that got my parts, but many were not so fortunate. When there is that kind of lack of communication, consumers need to be wary and protect themselves. . .
p.s. - not trying to put Devo in the same category as J.O.D., just sharing my experience.

Some people think that buying essentially custom parts for an Evo is the same as shopping at Walmart. It isn't, and never has been. Even the "big" Evo shops are small in terms of volume when compared to other auto parts builders. That means that they are reliant on suppliers to provide either the whole part, or critical components necessary to make the part. I waited for more than a month for a FMIC, because the cores were backordered. That's not unusual. I understood the problem, and just asked for a refund, so I could buy one elsewhere, since I needed it in a hurry.

Sounds to me if you don't care about customer service or need the part and they are the only place that offers it go to Devo Tuning.
Delays happen customers should be notified of delays not just sit there and wait and hope they are not getting ripped off.
I am not siding with Devo or the OP but,
Some people in here like to say buy the the vendors who are working in America so we can keep jobs etc etc.. Don't buy from Ebay because you will not get the support after the sale.
Almost every time I have bought from a top name vendor, there is always something wrong with the order. Sometimes that extra price tag with builtl in America just isn't worth it anymore. Vendors need to learn customer service. Even more so if that customer has already paid for the product.
Just sayin.

UPDATE: So get this...
I get the driveshaft and all is good in the hood. I install it and send my old one back within I'd say a week. I confirm the Devo address on the box they shipped me my driveshaft in as well as with the address on their website and both are the same. So I ship out my old driveshaft for my refund. 10 min after I shipped the driveshaft last monday I email Devo to let them know the driveshaft is shipped and give them the UPS tracking number and it will be there on friday ( this past one). Today I get a call from some guy that has a buisness next door to Devo, saying he signed for my package and he hasnt seen Devo at that place in about 2 weeks. Now I have 2 problems... 1st is why did UPS deliver it to the next door neighbor... and the 2nd is where is Devo and what is their new address and why wouldnt they let people know where that address is via their website or by responding to any of my emails. What gets me is why ship from that address if in a few days you'll be at your new one. So in the AM, I'm gonna try and sort this stuff out.

Left a message for Adam and he called back and let me know he stopped by on his way to work to pick up the shaft. I got the refund and were all good. Again through all of this the part was never questioned and it works as it should. Thanks to all who helped and the mods can lock this thread when they get around to it. Thanks again Jeff
