I did some research .. I found 6 other people who had the ECUtek tune done with similar mods.

#1: Gained 52hp (end result 320hp)

#2: Gained 43hp

#3: End result 330hp

#4: Gained 24hp (had a FMIC)

#5: End result 330hp (also had FMIC)

#6: Gained 50hp (end result 328hp)

Mine doesn't seem to be terribly off as far as the end result numbers. I may take it back to see if it comes out higher when cool since the car was really hot. As for gains, I am a little on the low side, but I also asked for it to be tuned on the rich side which Al said would account for about 10hp. Which would put me at 40hp gained which doesn't seem all that bad. The car was only cool for the baseline pulls so maybe if I make another pull while the car is cool it will come out different. Maybe I'll actually go see since you pissed me off.

Edit.. are you foreign? Because I really can't understand what you are trying to say. If you are saying I dont' know anything because I am a woman, why don't you research me. I've been racing cars for a very long time. And I've been going fast with very little. I'm not too worried. I met you at the EVOXFORUMS meet .. My bf told you he didn't care for your spoiler. Remember?
nope. Since i dont care really what people think about my wing or any spoiler. If i talk about it, that is because someone ask... But i still can't recall i actually talk some one about my factory replica CF spoiler.
I just talked with Mike and he told me you where there.
Reason why i dont research because i dont care. If i care some one i do research. I made a comment that's it. You picked up wrong and you came back nasty. If you feel people think you dont know because you are a women that is your problem, i never thought of that. I didn't even know you are a women. Fact i didnt even check your screen name , because i responded the numbers not for the name...
besides the very first post say 30-50 whp which is bad ... and then the other post said AFTER I RESPOND The 100 whp, which is good.
So i dont know where i did a mistake here

Maybe next time

I gained 30-50hp from the tune alone, I gained 100hp from all the bolt on's plus the tune.

Thanks a ton Al! I'm very excited to see what this baby can do, and also looking forward to figuring out what this car likes best. Thanks for all of your help, I really appreciate it!

As far as peak dyno numbers go this particular car was tuned in 90 degree pllus heat with our dyno working only reading two wheels (one of the sensor's on the two drums failed on the first pull). Also I neglected to turn off the traction control which no doubt caused some havock on the dyno.

The only significant value in dyno tuning is the gain or loss on the particular car from base line to final tune.

Its silly to get caught up on peak numbers, they really mean very little and don't mean much without knowing all the other varicables, such as boost, a.f, timing, knock, etc all of which are vastly more important.

If you watch my video of this tuning job, you will see that the initial dyno pull vs the final dyno pull resulted in a significant and consistant power gain over the entire power band. Over a 3 hour plus process we carefully explored different tuning scenarios with lean and rich and more and less timing to find the optimal balance between saftey, long term reliability and power delivery.

I liked the way the car drove on my careful post dyno data log and test session.

Here is the video which includes a Bentley GT we pimped out "ICS Style" with some billet double 2 rollers. (To each his / her own)!

You are most welcome, I am very curious to see how a WGA will aide the power and also look into seeing how porting the turbine housing will work into that.

The FP Red and injectors also looks like a combo which may prove very good on the X with Aquamist.

I had meth injection on my white SRT. I definitely had a good experience with it. Works great.

I think I may order the WGA.

We are very interested to see how a upgraded actuator will work on the X - hopefully the OP can return with one and I will be happy to retune and test at no extra charge

It remains to be seen how much air the turbine wheel can flow and at what point the pressure will start to result in reversion into the combusion chamber and reduced flow

On the stock turbo STI's of course after a certain point closing the gate just rasises the boost with no resulting power gain - only a hotter charge temp and more back pressure

Of course on the 8 and IX an actuator was a more productive upgrade

Hopefully the X turbine wheel is large enough that a WGA upgrade will pick up some top end power

Its very interesting and exciting for me to be working on a new car where everything is not already figured out and we can engage in some trial and error

A lot of our initial X clients just wanted a reflash and or Stage II as it was such a new car. Now that the cars are moving into the hands of some of the more hard core owners we will start to have the chance to put some larger FP turbos and do some more agressive tuning with alcohol injection and WGA's on the stock turbo.

Al
I would get a new WGA if you made me this offer, being that I'm going to stop by next week and that you also tuned my X and the tune was in my opinion very good.

I don't understand why so many of my posts get deleted on these forums. I made a post on this thread simply stating how I too got tuned by Dynoflash and it was a very good tune. Not a day goes by before it gets deleted.

You worry way to much what other people think.

This forum has keyboard warriors night and day.

If your happy with your tune than who cars what anyone thinks. Al is on the cutting edge of evo X tunning technology just like he was with the viii's years ago.

My car put down 524 whp in April in 65degrees. After I built my engine, added a race head, and removed the balance shafts it put down high 540's a few weeks ago in 95 degree heat. This was at 29psi and 93 and alky. (Think about how much money I added to the build and I wasn't dissapointed one bit)

Do you know how many people said wow...your power seems low. Buschur cars put down 550whp without alky all day long. Your tune must be off. On and On...

If I put the car on the dyno now (Same exact tune) at night in 65 degree's.... now running 32psi at 11.5 a/f and wind it out to 8 grand...what do you think the outcome would be? Im guessing I would be damn near 600whp.

Power is all relative. You did make a good point however. The numbers don't mean anything at all in the end. It's how fast the car gets you from point A to B reliably that matters.
