Yes of course I would be happy to do the same for you as well, testing on the WGA would be great. I am a Forge dealer and would be happy to secure one for you and arrange to have it intsalled also. PM me for further details. Al

Thanks for your effort. Sadly, at times a perfectly good thread can be ruined with inappropriate responses by other parties. I am not sure this was the case with your previous thread but often that has been the case.

The moderation team on Evom has proven to be a really great and even handed group of people over the years and their efforts have contributed greatly to the success and usefulness of the forum.

If you get some numbers at the drag strip be sure to report back as well! Don't worry too much about what others think on the forums, as long as you are having fun with the car and it performs that's all that matters.

Al, any before and after dyno info on the Forge actuators would be very much appreciated. Being in Rochester, NY I'm probably too far away to test a before and after myself.

Hey boybeater, I noticed that you are using an MBC, and dynoflash I know you mentioned something about this in another thread but, have you had any issues with limp mode? Sounds like you have similar mods, running similar parts the main thing being an MBC. I am asking because I had mine tuned yesterday and on the way home (long drive) I hit limp mode four times, essentially anytime I partial throtted it in third, fourth and fifth gear... and since then can basically replicate it at a moments notice.

Besides that, congrats! I have an OBX also, love the color, did you know they canceled that color?

No, no limp mode at all. Haven't driven the car since the ride home from the dyno, but I did notice some part throttle boost.

The limp mode can be successfuly avoided with proper mapping of the various maps related to the DBW throttle

I have been able to run X's with up to 2 bars of boost with no limp mode

If you used Ecutek have your tuner consult with Ecutek in the UK to get advice on how to properly configure the maps to avoid the limp mode

Funny you should mention that... because that is in fact one of the contributors to the agressive boost ramp up, but I will see what I can do to get around it first, if not then thats probably what I will do.

Its not the BOV ramping up boost that causes it to throw the car in limp mode and its not an overboost limp mode as i have narrowed it down on my car and made it go in limp mode at part throttle and no boost.. I am not able to discuss yet why it goes in limp mode due to the BOV but the BOV is 100% an issue on these cars.. With Al's tuning / flash i have run 27psi w/o an issue..

Is the style bov you are using partially open at low load like the stock BOV? If so, and it vents to atmosphere you are going into limp mode because of a miss match between the amount of air going into the engine, and the amount of air the ECU expects to go into the engine.... sort of a miss match between the MAS reading on the inlet side and the O2 sensor reading on the outlet side of your engine due to the meetered air that isn't making it into the engine causeing it to run richer than expected by the ECU.

Ecutek has solved the mystery of this function and provided us with the maps and instructions to re-adjust the air flow mapping

Thus with a reflashed ecu the limp mode problem is eliminated

That kicks butt, and is something to keep in mind if my stock BOV ever starts giving me troubles... for now I am sticking with the stocker Only gona spend money on stuff that makes power like a tune from Dynoflash in a couple weeks
