Just got back from DYNOFLASH

Hey guys!

I finally went and got my X tuned by AL from DYNOFLASH in Stamford, CT.

I picked up 50 wheel hp in the mid- rpms and 30 wheel hp up top. It was really hot and humid.. so we may dyno it for numbers on a nice day.

My car definitely feels like a different car! Pulls hard and smooth all the way through .. I'm definitely very pleased!

If anyone wants to look into this Dynoflash ECUteck tune, you can call Al at 203-515-4110.

I can't wait to hit the track!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like some nice gains, really no matter how high you turn up the boost, the stock turbo will only give you so much above 5000 RPM. I'll have to play a bit this weekend to see what max boost I can get at certain RPM's but I think it's close to this in 3rd gear:

3000 - 4000 = 30 psi+?
4500 = 26 psi
5000 = 24 psi
5500 = 22 psi
6000 = 21 psi
6500 = 20 psi
7000 = 19 psi
7500 = 18 psi

This is one of the biggest limitations to peak HP numbers on the stock turbo, it's just enemic! Seems to taper more in the lower gears versus 4th and 5th though. Still, every time you shift gears in the quarter mile, the RPM's never drop below 5000-5500 range so you get a surge of boost then it quickly tapers off as RPM's climb. At least the extra boost helps the seat of the pants torque on the street.

Yea It spikes to 26psi, holds for a bit at 24psi, and slowly tapers down ..

Has anyone purchased a wastegate actuator for these cars yet? Mike, I think I read that you had one, has it helped hold the boost steady? I know they are weak on SRT's so I have one on my SRT and it holds boost great.

Yeah it would be nice if someone that bought one of those upgraded actuators actually posted the before and after results. Dynopulls with boost logged with no other changes except maybe adjusting boost set point of course. Failing that, just reporting back a boost curve like I posted every 500 rpm's would be a start. Out of all of them sold I've seen zero info besides "it holds more boost".

doesnt that forge actuator practically do the same thing as tightening your stock wastegate control arm a couple turns?

and you spike 26 psi , and gain top 30 whp and 50 whp in mid range at some point with tune, right? Maybe the miss match the component or the dyno or else, but sorry i'm not impressed.

bone stock X usually gains with tune in bone stock with 25 psi max , very very close to your numbers.

It only spikes for a second, if you turn up the boost you'll see, I think it's due to a weak actuator b/c that is what my SRT did before the WGA.

It holds at much lower boost level, I had Al tune it very conservatively. It holds at about 24psi in midrange and drops down to about 18psi up top which would be consistent with the lower power gains up top since it is at a lower boost level. I could have had him tune it much more agressively to make more power. And he made that very clear.

I personally don't give a **** what it puts on the dyno. If I want the number, I'll go dyno on a nice cool day instead of a 90 degree day.

I only care what that number flashes at the top of the 1/4 mile.

If I was making stock power, then I'd be unimpressed, but I've gained 100whp with air filter, exhaust, IC pipes, and a tune. Not bad at all in my book.

I will never understand why I always have to deal with you idiots. Aren't you the guy with the white riced out evo x? What power did YOU put down? Or are you just reading what other people have done like everyone else that has an opinion, but has never done anything themselves but put on a hideous carbon fiber spoiler? Sorry to be so harsh, but if you don't have anything nice to say. Don't say anything at all. I'm sorry I even bothered to share. But I don't appreciate comments like this.

I'm very excited because I ran 13.2 w/ a 1.8 60 ft when the car was stock. I can't wait to hit the track with these mods.
