I'm just not sure how you have a 700+ hp sTi, yet you fail to realize these simple problems with your Evo. Shouldn't you know how a wastegate works at the minimum???

Christ I just wasted 15 minutes of my life because some choad can't grasp the idea of a wastegate changing the boost characteristics the ECU sees... and he is pissed because TTP could do nothing about it because he left his accessport 1000 miles away and locked his ecu... yeah that is completely TTP's fault...

I can understand some customers are particular about there vehicle.

IMO, Technically: His hands looked to be tied by not having the ECU unlocked. We know this platform can be finicky with MAF flow. I can only imagine the MR is highly dependant on software to make it streetable or even go fast. Compound that with a high spring wastegate....

IMO, Professionally: Not sure if he cautioned you on the use of these parts without the AP. Since I wasnt there, I cant comment. I dont think the MR is garbage; i would love one for dedicated track use at Willow Springs! I think where he was coming from was at this point, its a *itch to modify.

My experiance with TTP was positive and my IX makes power. To me, Scott seems like a non BS type who gets the job done while working with the customers. Ive had the priveledge to get work done/parts together by GT Motorsports, Tuning Tech, RRE, XS, Port Flow, ACT (Lancaster, CA) etc and find TTP in league with the spirit of what we like to do.

Just my opinion...

I have read this whole stupid thread and what I have gathered is...

1. You are a self-absorbed, inconsiderate person that bought an Evo X MR to drive around a mentally challenged person when you could have bought an Acura TL or something more suitable for your job.

2. You have no clue about the inner workings of your car, the ECU mapping or affect of modifications done to it.

3. You have no loyalty to any shop or tuner.

4. You were offered free overview of your car by TTP and refused to let them help you.

My advice is to learn what you are doing and talking about before inserting your foot into your mouth and you won't look like a whining little crybaby and likely an only child.

You knew by adding the WGA and the other mods you added at other shops you would have to have your tune adjusted or you wouldnt have asked me if we could "bypass" your Cobb, I still have the piece of paper you wrote does asking to see if we could bypass the Cobb since you left your access cable for the Cobb in Maryland. But since you came to Florida and got all these mods done WITHOUT your cable how do you expect your tune to adjust itself?

You pay a "professional" for parts and install because you would hope he would do a good job and inform you of all issues that may come up and to address those issues when they do come up . A professional should know how to work on your car if he agrees to do work to your car . A professional should be able to inform you ( the customer ) of what to do and NOT do . You pay a "PRO" so that you make as little mistakes as possible , you pay for the ability to trust someone that will guide you in the right path .

You pay for a professional, not 10 professionals at 10 different shops in multiple states and 2 tuners. Please refer to my last post if you do not understand how this can become problematic.

I told Scott I did not want a tune before I even came into your shop that day to get the parts installed!!!! THESE ARE FACTS!!!! The only reason I asked if he could access my ECU was because he told me IT WAS THE ONLY WAY TO FIX THE PROBLEM, HE NEVER SAID THAT DAY WHEN IT WAS THROWING CODES, " HEY LET ME ADJUST YOUR WASTEGATE" He kept blaming it on my current tune, which is why I specifically said that I don't want these parts if there going to affect it in a negitive way!

I didn't even go to 10 shops! for the record!

Kami speed= Varis Cannards installed

Darkside Engineering = Replaced pillow ball mounts in rear only

Xtremeboost = Engine Cover/ Coil pack cover

You cant honestly sit there and tell me that those parts could in anyway affect the tune of my car.

The only problem I had with my car was AT TTP ENGINEERING!

1.) I bought a EVO X MR because I could, and it is a perfectly fine D/D

2.) I have enough of a understanding to know when things aren't right. And again...thats why I went to a proffesional

3.) That's a total lie! I have several cars and When I am in the state of Maryland I go no where else but I.A.G. performance, I have spent well over 50,000 dollars in parts and installation, and know where else!!!! Period has ever touched my STI, from day one. They are the only ones to Tune ANY, AND ALL OF MY CARS!!! THE SAME TUNER JORGE FROM P&L MOTORSPORTS, IN CHICAGO.

4.) When did the offer me a free " over view " of my car.? what after the fact, he messed everything up and told me it could only be fixed by re tuning the car!

All I had to read was part of the first post when you said the WGA spring was set too high... Coming from a guy who advertises that he drives a 700whp sti I would think you know a little something about boosted cars. Everytime I have upgraded wastegates and/or springs I have had to make changes with my boost controller, the higher the spring pressure, the higher I boosted without adjustment, its common sense.

Scott can come off as arogant sometimes but he is a good guy and knows his sh*t!
