740hp 672tq - Evil Built, UMS Tuned, Full-Race Setup
This was a result of A LOT of hard work and bad luck to finally output this setup. I ended up buying an AMS head off of a member on here and a GT40R turbo. Upon pulling off my head we discovered damage to my #2 piston. This resulted in me having to build my motor (again). To add even more good luck the head I bought needed to be rebuilt as well.
Because of this down time, I decided I may as well change up my setup. I ordered a Full Race twin scroll manifold and dp. I also purchased a 1.06 housing due to suggestions from Geoff. Also got the tranny built. Finally got my 2.4L rebuilt and head rebuilt to get these results.
My previous setup was a peakboost top mount 37R. It's pretty amazing how much more torque the car makes now and how it hits so much earlier on a bigger setup. You def can't argue that twin scroll works. My setup:
Evil Engineering built 2.4L 4g64 block
Carrillo Rods
CP Pistons
Evil Engineering built head
1 mm over valves
Ferrera Valve springs & Retainers
Full Race twin scroll manifold
Gt 40r turbo 1.06ar
Tomei 280 Cams
Tomei Cam gears
Tomei fuel rail
Full blown twin walbro setup -10an inlet -8 return
1600cc injectors
HKS Kansai Intake Manifold
q45 TB
Peakboost FMIC 3.5"
Mishimoto evo7 radiator
Custom 3" IC piping
Tial bov
2 Tial 44mm Wg's
Sparktech COP + M&W CDI
Aeromotive FPR
JIC Coil Overs
Greddy Ti Exhaust
Carbonetic triple plate clutch
AEM ems
I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot but that's all i can think of atm.
Gotta give props where its due:
Big John and crew @ Evil Engineering
Tony and crew @ UMS Tuning
Geoff and crew @ Full Race
Craig @ Sparktech - Actually called me to check up on me, thanks again man!
Here is a pic of the dyno graph with an overlay of my old setup. We actually made 750hp but played around with the cam gears to mess with the tq and anded at 740hp. Also some ****ty cell phone pics of the new setup. I will try and take some better pics soon. This car is just way too much fun to drive. I went thru 10 gal of q16 in 1 night. The torque is just stupid on the street. I HIGHLY recommend this setup!
