Had some stuff ported at Buschur

So I sent out my exhaust manifold and turbine housing to get a little buschur love. The exhaust manifold is port matched to the stock head, and the exhaust to turbine housing is matched to each other, and then the oulet on the turbine housing is just opened up. Looks like a great setup and for the price you cannot beat it.

Also I have the FP Anti Surge cover on the turbo, and this is an Evo 9 Turbo.

It might just be the pics, but that looks awfully ruff. Do they not smooth the port work out like they would on an intake manifold or intake side of the head?

Thanks for using our parts, we appreciate it.

An ultra smooth finish is pointless in the exhaust ports. The gains are in getting the ports the same shape and size as the cylinder head ports and getting the actual collector to flow at the turbo.

Mirror polish is not as good for flow as one would think. You actually need small surface texture to keep the fluid from dragging / sticking to the surface.

Ported cover is a must as far as I am concerned, it eliminates compressor surge.

Buschur was fast as hell. Just drove the car tonight, and wow the Anti Surge Cover is just awesome as hell sounding. The ported parts will have more results after some VDR action. however the car felt much stronger and smoother. Overall great batch of mods.

What's the turn around time on this? What was the cost for the cover and the porting of the turbo?

The FP cover is like 200, the turbine porting is 95+shipping, and Exhaust Mani is 95+shipping. For me the turnaround was like 2 days I think from buschur. I had them ship ghetto slow, because I was not in a hurry.

So I have been running the car. I will have some logs tonight or tomorrow so I can compare the spoolup and power. I will turn the boost down to a previous log that I had and do my compare at 28psi.

The car does feel like it has a lot more pep. The car feels so much smoother. For me and my car it has been the best money I have spent on parts to date.
