Talking Muse Upper IC Pipe ***REVIEW***

Just got in my Muse Upper IC pipe for my 08 Evo GSR. I was looking to replace the stock restrictive piping coming out of the turbo heading to the IC. The stock weaved pipes will balloon and cause you to lose power and throttle response when running higher boost or stock boost at that, plus they just don't look very appealing under the hood. Also I like how it's a single pipe (compared to some others 2 piece kits) which has less chance of creating a boost leak. So I invested in the Muse Upper IC pipe as I said above, which is a single stainless piece that comes with 2 couples (black in color) and 4 stainless t-bolt clamps. Simple, clean and affordable. Install was very simple and straight froward, took me under an hour out in the cold. No problems with fitment.

Set Up: I'm running Cobb Stage 2 HKSPF 93 oct, with drop-in filter, Perrin Turbo Inlet, AMS DP, Speed Circuit Test Pipe and TurboXs CBE.

Results: After install and taking the car on a couple spirited drives, it def seems to pull harder sooner, so throttle response has increase(Quicker Spool). It helps create and hold boost much better then stock and seems to help the car pull smooth and effortless. For the price, the product and the performance, I'm very pleased.

Now time for a Pro Tune to get the real benefits of all these mods!

Muse's UICP (stock battery and short route) are both 2 piece designs. The piece you are describing is the LICP, it connects to the turbo, not the UICP.

I thought most steel was magnetic. Think it depends on how it was made or what type it is (300-400). I'm gonna try the magnet my lunch break and also try on my CBE which I believe is Stainless too.

I tried a pretty big magnet at my work on both the UPIC and my CBE (TurboXs) and neither one made the magnet stick. I read that "Generally the higher the nickel content the less magnetic" So are you sure you got the Muse UPIC pipe or did you get a knock off? Do they even make knock off Muse parts, lol?

It's actually funnny

The straight parts of the UICP don't stick so that is stainless steel though the curved parts (if you look hard enough you can see that it's 2 pieces put together) the magnet sticks. I actually got it from a vendor on here. I'll see what he says
