ETS Titanium test pipe
Got my titanium test pipe from ETS about a month ago, and after 1000 miles it was time for a review.
First of all, this thing is LIGHT. I know titanium is light, but this is still astounding - 3 lbs 6 oz. The welds are beautiful too!
To be fair, I contacted ToxicFab first, but their price was just too much for me at the time. I took an off chance and Michael at ETS offered me a much better price. Nothing against ToxicFab, their work is beautiful, but this price was significantly lower.
Install was fairly straightforward aside from difficulty removing one of my stock 19mm bolts. That's par for an exhaust though... The heat shield had to be MINORLY bent out of the way for this new test pipe, but fairly insignificant. The new pipe came with a j-pipe for the oxygen sensor, which ended up moving the oxygen sensor a bit. No issues routing the wire over there though, plenty of room.
Volume is not louder really, it's just a little deeper. I kept the stock catback at this time, and honestly no increased cabin noise. The volume outside seems constant too. It is ever so slightly deeper though.
Power is not night and day better, but I did pick up 3-400 rpm in spool speed, so that's a big plus.
After about 600 miles I did throw an O2 code (on a long 8% grade about 75mph part throttle), but reset it and I've been 400 more miles without a code.
All in all, from purchase to install to driving experience, quality product!
