Hey Brian,

They'll tell you your MOS and projected schooling time in the last few days of MCT.. There might be downtime when you get to pensacola though since the schools can be backed up. I had to wait 6 weeks until I got classed-up.. Yay for PT every day and painting walls 5 days a week..

bootcamp is 13 weeks, but technically training does not start until the second week. first week are in-processing where you get barely any sleep. i remember that people were dozing off left and right just sleeping standing up

make sure you get a good night sleep two days prior to your departure because you will need it! oh by the way, dont forget to say what's up before you leave the MEPS station. just ask for sgt. alcantara and tell them that you know me. i'll give you some last minute encouragement or "tips" on survive bootcamp.

Brian,
Good luck reaching your goals, and you have earned a great deal of respect. This is definitely a turbulent time to be enlisting, and I wish you the best, and stay safe. Remember not to push yourself to hard: I've had 2 friends get injured in boot camp this year.
