Oh oops! I guess I thought it was twin since the pedal was so far out of adjustment.

car getting pulled on

Just a suggestion: get out the soapy water and pressurize your set-up and do a leak test. You could have a slight leak somewhere robbing you of power. Spray all the piping, TB, and everywhere on the intercooler. Couplers can break, crack, or split under boost so check them regularly. It wouldnt hurt to do a compression test just to make sure everything still reads what it should. Last but not least, the dyno can spot something in the a/f that otherwise wouldnt be seen showing a rich/lean situation. Good luck.

well all those checks might help, but he walked on 2 custom tuned stage1+ cars prior to having cams and apparently blasted by an off the shelf stage1+ after he got cams. so the leak theory could be true for one of us but all three that would be strange.

I guess all three Vishnu cars have boost leaks.

Ok here is the deal. I may need to upgrade the stock BOV. I do spike at 1.7 bar and taper fast to 18-19 psi. The clutch is not slipping. Where he go me was when we both hit it in 3rd, his turbo just spooled quicker and then in 4th he started to walk away pretty quick. Im sad

Maybe they're still sleeping.
If both Stg 1+ cars put down around 320whp on a dynojet, there's really nothing to confirm. I do a lot of tuning at Turbotrix and there doesn't seem to be much of a difference, hp-wise, between Mark's tunes and mine. If one car is resoundingly faster than the other and the only difference is the flash, I think someone else is going on too. Can't put another 30hp out of a system when there isn't 30hp left in it. Is everyone running the same fuel? It would be nice to see Tony head up to Dyno4mance to confirm that he's making the same power as other Stg 1+s. It's quite a drive from TX but Andrew will take you out to the local Fudruckers and show you the sights of downtown Calhoun

Not this one! Too bad you're so darn far away. I'm not afraid in the least of losing to a car with aforementioned mods that is tuned by a reflash. TurboTrix is awesome, but a reflash doesn't inherently make more power than an XEDE. There's less to adjust.

Tony, our offer still stands. No 16G car with virtually the same mods can pull another one 5 friggin' lengths. There's a cam gear issue, or a wrong gear issue, or a bad map issue. Come out here and we'll get it sorted out.

I think your post is the reason for this thread. None of it makes sense. However, two things. Dec 11 I will be tuned and know exactly how much my car puts down on 93 octane (which we both are running) on a Mustang dyno AND how do you explain my pulling 2 cammed Vishnu Stage 1+ cars when I had no cams. There is more to this than just me outrunning Tony.

Tony-

BTW, third gear starting at 3k? Why start at such a crappy spot in the powerband? Did he pull you really hard instantly? Was he in second while you were in third? Either your car is really sick or there's BS going on. Its very easy to figure out on a dyno!

seth, nothing is wrong with tony's car...i think something is wrong with evotexas' car. it pulled on me and psitex prior to having cams and we both have stage1+ custom tuned.

I didn't start the thread.

Granted, I have a few more mods than Tony, but I have every confidence that he should be within 20whp on this dyno with a custom tune, as he's not running a custom map for his car. At ~320whp on a Dyno Dynamics with an Evo, 115mph trap speeds are the norm in good weather at close to MSL. A 1+ is at ~112-113mph. To have five carlengths on someone, you'd need 118-120mph at least. That ain't happenin' with a reflash and your mods, sorry. Therefore, it is clear that Tony's car is sick.

Has to be, Vince. Have any of you guys been drag racing? That will stop all this street and bench racing dead in its tracks.

Sounds like the making of another trip to dyno4mance!
