Upgrade path question for Vishnu

What should my next step be towards getting more mid range grunt from my 03 evo on 91 OCTANE.

10.5 turbine housing along with a larger o2 housing or cam gears? Due to limited funds

I currently have a 3" tb w/highflow cat, hks 264 cams & xflash.

My guess would be the 1st part, but first I just wanted to confirm with the leaders in 91 octane tuning for evo's.

If not either of the 2 mentioned above, what then? 272intake, wives tail or true for improving midrange grunt?

This is my daily driver, so tip-in & tractability is extremely important as well.

Thanks in advance.

The larger O2 housing is not worth the trouble.

If you're mission is more midrange torque and you are on a budget, get the larger housing and spend $200 for an SS Autochrome tubular exhaust manifold.

Of course, I am assuming you already have a means of recalibration of fuel and preferrably the ignition curve as well. If not, you'd be wise to make that your immediate mission.

272 intake vs. 264 = very, very little noticeable difference. I'd vote for the larger turbine (TI internals if you can 'ford 'em).

Yeah, my thinking was that since the turbine housing is off, fit up a different o2 housing @ the time. My concern about the header is reliability @ this time. I guess I could fab up some additional supports to hold up the turbo.

I noticed you have the helix o2 housing from an earlier post, what makes you think its a waste of money?

I intended to get my car dyno & reflashed @ Vishnu's when it's all said & done to optimize the reflash.

I will have to disagree with you Ted....The turbine hotside is a nice little mod giving owners a very good gain for not much outlay...
It improves top end performance on the 03-04 evos greatly...
Also the mid range is greatly improved as far more boost is able to be achieved because of the additional volume passing through the hotside housing between 3300 and 5000 rpm...

Andrew, I think there is a little confusion here. I discouraged getting an aftermarket O2 sensor housing not the larger turbine hotside.

It seems to be worth very little at this point simply because if I showed you dyno sheets from several identically prepared EVOs and asked you (or anyone) to identify which had the aftermarket O2 housing from the dyno sheets, it would seems impossible to note any significant improvement.

I didn't actually post them. I made this statement as a generality, the point being f you're on a budget, spending for an O2 sensor housing is definitely not worth it.
