The harness is at the shop. Further testing is needed in order to determine the issue.

Remember I put the order on Dec 8, 2004 and Dave told me He WIILL ship the xede out on Friday Dec 10, 2004.
I got the unit well after the day that Dave promised.

HOW LONG I have to wait untill I get the replacement?

I think they're just firing up the Boiler Room to the new location - unfortunately

No, they did not.

I had to call them to find out and here is what I get:

They don't have any xtra XEDE in stock. So they try to fix and test the unit in their shop.

I guess they try to keep overhead low, so until customers fill up the XEDE batch order, they will order them from Chip Torque. If you unlucky enough like me with a DOA unit, you have to wait (for the shipment or fix) WITH unspecific time to get yours up and running

The thing pisses me off the most is they dont inform me any thing, no reply to PM...

Stiil waiting .

Li, I have tested your unit and found the problem. I will shoot you a PM today.

And btw, we dont wait till an order fills up. We always do our best to keep them in the shop, but with the holidays, it made it difficult to do so.

Do you happen to have the tracking # for the working XEDE which supposed to ship to me?

According to our phone conversation on Tue, Jan 11/ 2005, I should get it by Fri, Jan 14/ 2005.

I think until now I spend a lot of time to wait for the XEDE and kinda tired of it.

Finally, I got a new XEDE and newly revised harness yesterday.

It took me five minute to install it and the car started right away

The newly revised harness makes whole world of differences. It has an extra ground connector and I think because of that, it fix the problem.

I happened to have the old XEDE and installed it with the new harness and it worked also.

I wish the Vishnu guys ping point the problem sooner so I don't have to wait almost 6 weeks to get the right one.

FWIW, the problem was so hard to diagnose because it wasn't in the circuit or the XEDE. It was in the wires that go the black and grey XEDE connectors. The pink and white/yellow wires were reversed Only takes 10 seconds to reverse them back to normal but it took us a while to figure it out... sorry for the hassles and delays.
