boost questions

well i just recently installed new spark plugs, spark plug wires, and finally the hks twin power dli. after this install my boost has been tapering some.....it is not going to the 21-26 psi i was pulling before. now i have said my mods in other threads before but i guess i can name them all here again if you all think it will help. but before i do should i just reload my map could it have just been corrupted or something during the install? or does this sound like a loose boost wire? basically when i hit the gas hard it will go to the boost level but at other times the car kinda hops a bit while raising boost to like 10-15 psi only

what do you all think this could be??

Are you getting the crappy power indicitive of 10psi of boost? If the car still feels strong, maybe the gauge line is leaking. Are you getting proper vacuum levels?

Now like i stated earlier, the idle is rough but that is to be expected with the cams i am running. however when i give it gas on 4th and 5th especially the car kinda hops as the boost is struggling. if i let go the gas, hear the bov, and hit the gas again it sort of fixes it but my boost is not sticking with me. before if i was cruising 4th on the highway at around 80mph or so i would have some sort of boost reading, low since i wasnt gunning it but still some there. i have noticed that now i wont have boost on my guage unless i am gunning it (pushing the pedal down hard) if you all need more info to answer i will gladdly provide it but this is whats currently going on and its starting to get to me a bit

just curious but do you have a cel? also your hks suction kit... I thought shiv said to keep your stock airbox with the exede, what kind of fuel are u running? what do u have your boost set at?? and did you try to disconnect your exede?? I'm not sure but it sounds as if you may have something wired incorrectly maybe the lil wire controlling your boost solenoid?

well to answer your questions Feautoevo, i do have a Cel light with the po300 code has been like that before the xede although it would go away and now its on constantly. i told shiv before i bought this that i already had hks suction kit he said it was ok, i am running 93 octane from exxon here in texas, my boost is set at whatever the map for the hks cams and camgears is set at i never messed with it at all, and lastly i havent tried to take the xede out lately but i could give that a try, although my boost is going to be super weak since the solenoid and such is out i dont think it will boost past 10psi

make sure your coils don't have "air bubbles" in them....try reinstalling them.....maybe some of them are loose...

after that, take out the negative connector on your battery and "reset" everything (ECU)

if it still "hops", or "spikes", try reinstalling the stock coils

still persists, disconnect your HKS igniton

you should get some results starting with those steps

if it still persists, replace your new plugs with the old ones....

If you're still getting crappy boost, try reloading the map.

ok just to update this sorry i never got back, it turns out that when i installed the new magnacor spark plug wires they came apart so i was only running my car off of 2 spark plugs since the whole thing was not connected correctly, if any of you have this problem check your spark plugs and wires could be as simple as that
