The only time fuel cut is induced is when boost is too high. This will usually trigger at 4500rpm since that is where boost pressures are the highest, all things equal. With the baseline maps, you *should* not get boost cut with the stock ECU. If you do, however, all you have to do is drop the numbers in the boost table down a bit to compensate. Your target peak boost should be 20-22psi, depending on the gear. This applies to those with stock ECUs as well as XEDEFlashed ECUs.

Cheers,
Shiv

Fuel cut is a safety feature - your Walbro isn't going to prevent it - it's just better than the stock unit at maintaining fuel pressure at elevated boost levels than the stocker. You can only get rid of the fuel cut by reflashing the stock ECU. Unless you plan on running more than 22-odd psi (and have things like head studs etc) I would leave it alone.

Yea iam not running more thean 22psi thats what the XEDE boosts the psi up to 22 so ill leave it there.

can anyone say at what boost pressure the fuel-cut will kick in?

The cut is really triggered by MAF so actual boost will differ a bit from car-to-car, temp-to-temp, altitude-to-altitude, etc,. But usually around 23psi for 03-04 EVOs and around 25psi for 05s.

You may see fuel cut on colder days (32 degrees or below), since you will start to boost higher with the colder, denser air... seeing that you're in Houston, though, hopefully you won't see too many of those. Here in Chicago, I was seeing peak boost numbers of 25+ psi in very cold weather (<10 degrees), which scared the bejeezus out of me and I have since adjusted my boost table.

I got boost cut at 23psi. Scaled the boost map back 5% and got 22psi and no boost cut.
