Yea, and maybe we could all chip in and have her waiting for him in the back seat... This, a bottle of Kristal, and a box of condoms and he will be all sorts of ready to tune!!

Just got back home. Was nice to hang out with my fellow Texan Evo owners at FIS this morning.

Driving home through the stop and go traffic on 121, I could not detect any difference. It felt smooth and normal. But, there is quite a bit more power if you let it rip!

Very nice..

Mods:
* WORKS DP, HFC, IP, and ABM (all 3”)
* Walbro Fuel Pump
* Vishnu XEDE

Power = 293
Torque=282

I apologize for the late notice but I am cancelling out for my 2PM slot: about 70 miles south of Dallas my ride thows the SES light and starts vibrating badly. Went to the Autozone here in Grapevine and guess what - P0300. I never had this problem when I was running just Stage 0. My downpipe went on yesterday and I have a feeling this is somehow related. Heading back to Houston to put the stock dp back on. This really sucks, I was really looking forward to a custom tune. PM ing Evotexas as I hope someone else can use my slot.

We can probably easily diagnos and or fix your problem if you want to come out tomorrow. I will take you off the schedule though. Thanks, and good luck!

Well I just got back to houston after a fun tuning filled day at FIS. First of lets start out with many thanks to Shiv, bud you are the man thanks for what you did to my car even though it acted like a little ***** on the dyno with fried coils and all. Also many thanks to all the guys at FIS for putting up with all th evo owners who showed up today some to get tuned, some to chat, others to watch. Last but certainly not least, I want to say thanks to the North Texas Evolution Owners Club members that were there, all very helpful and full of usefull information. I wish I was better with names but I had guys talk to me about mods, possible upgrade paths, what they have on their cars, what they think works and what doesnt. I even had a couple guys help me with my car problems.... Turns out I had installed the HKS DLI II to my car since I thought it would fix my ignition problems well little did I know that it was only going to worsten the problem frying my coils, spark plugs and magnacor wires. Someone (please fill me in via PM or out here on the board I want to keep in contact) let me borrow their coils to get myself tuned properlly, and a few others were kind enough to help me put back in my messed up coils and get my car moving again so I could make my long long trip home. Shiv even stayed after to check some fueling adjustments even after FIS had closed their doors, all in all I can say this was a great experience and look forward to next year when Shiv will make his return trip to Texas. (hopefully sooner than that)

well number-wise my car pulled a nice 320 horsepower at the wheels

cant be happier with my results...and can't wait to hear other versions of peoples experience of today.

My respect for Shiv has gone up a couple more notches. The things this mad scientist can do with an EVO are insane! My mods are: a DP, CatBack and an XEDE. When we start I had not connected the XEDE's boost controller so boost was stock. My baseline pull was 250Hp and 248 torque. In about 15 minutes he cranked it up to 278hp. He then hooked up the boost controller, did an XEDE Flash and cranked the boost up to 22psi peak. My final numbers are 295hp with 282 Ft/lbs torque!. At one point he said he had it at 300hp, but said it would not be safe so backed it down.

I can definately feel a difference in the car just driving around town. I can go to higher gears and still feel like the car will pull. It is also a lot smoother, boost does not just appear out of nowhere. It builts up in a nice linear fashion, starting up very early and just building up to its peak.

It was great getting to hand out for a little while with all of the other EVO maniacs. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to making it out to the coffee nights in the near future.

Jody deserves a ton of props for setting this up. Thanks a lot man!

More results: Another Stg 1+ (catless) hit 361 on race gas, 340whp on pump gas. Joey's Stg 1+ (catless with built motor/headwork) hit 356whp on pump gas. No race gas map for him... boo hoo

In summary, traditional Stg 1+ (v390) cars with cats are in the 315-320whp range on pump gas. Without cats, they are around 340whp. On race gas, with no cats, they make 360whp. At redline, all the stock turbo cars, regardless of octane, run no more than 17-18psi.

Time to go back to the dyno....

cheers,
shiv
