after arguing with him I finally let him tune the car how he wanted, only because my car wouldn't run correctly without it. After 1.5 bar the car would hit fuel cut. Also, I didn't want to drive 5 hours for nothing. To tell the truth he knew that I had driven pretty far and that my car wasn't running right so I think he knew that I was going to do what he said.

When my car was on the dyno I felt like it was Al's MR not mine.

In the end he told me the only way that my car would run properly is to have his reflash and buy a 255 walboro fuel pump for $120.


So I will take David up on his offer, because I know my car has more potential than this, and I'd rather not deal with people like Al

Although I must say that the guys at Pruven performance were great and that I am happy with the results, definitely not the service.

 

lol.. a glorified boost controller.. thats awesome. thats kinda what his flashes are like.. except you can have ur rpm cut be as high as 10k.. which is real practical cuz evos rev to 10k all the time. his flashes are so inexpensive and basic they should come for free with the purchase of ahappy meal.

wow i just took the time to read the whole thread... lets see how much more power shiv can make on the same car. that will be a great testament to who is a better tuner, and which method is superior.
one thing people dont understand is that xede allows 2 maps as well.. this is an amazing feature for people that actually race. and the xflash can accomplish the same things as teh xede for most cars.
time will tell

If you have a problem with what people are saying about you, I suggest you take it up with them individually instead of crying on our forum about it. But then again, maybe this Classic Al behavior is why they are giving you a hard time:

Shiv - I have no desire to post on your forums - but when your boys like IE and others who organize your dyno days and help promote your product start making lies about me and saying I am "a criminal" saying that I am "a disbarred lawyer" - a "convicted felon" or other such defamatory allegations like they ones they previously made - I am going to respond to defend myself.

I am just a guy who is trying to live my life making an honest living doing something I enjoy. There is plenty of room in this business for lots of good tuners. There is no need for people to make personal attacks and spread lies about other tuners.

 

Classic AL behavior ? I offered him a $299 total solution which netted him 317 whp and ran lik a swiss watch. After paying for his dyno time I think I netted $99 on the deal. Would it have been more sporting of me to spend 2 hours tuning his Exede to make him the same or less whp and charge him more?

If the guy did not want to have his Xede removed - then I guess he should NOT have instructed HIS mechanic buddy to remove it and install the fuel pump.

I think its hard to claim I overpowered his free will when it was his mechanic who physically removed the Xede. At the time - I offered him my personal recomendations - left him and his mechanic to consider the options and then they decided to pull the Xede and get a flash. Maybe he has buyer's remorse BUT - its not like I held a gun to his head. I just told him my personal opinion that the flash was a much better value and would get him the same results. I also told him I was not interested in tuning the Xede and that it was not working properly on his car and would take too much dyno time to correct the problems. HIS CHOICE on what to do. I did not take out the Xede - his meachanic did !

I think he was fine with his decision until your team called him on the phone and brain washed him.

In any event - I posted that I would be willing to drive 1/2 way to his house remove my flash and give him a 100% refund and have not heard from him yet.
