Wow, had no idea this thread was even still around as I haven't been back here for quite a while. Anyway let me try and explain the situaton a little better than I did before:
My car was completely stock. I installed a K&N filter and the orginal vendors flash I refered to in my orginal post. At the very same time I had the orginal flash done I also installed a manual boost controller. The gain was great according to my semi-accurate butt dyno and I was very happy with it. I drove it with this setup for about a year. A very good friend of mine(David) now works at Vishnu and offered the X-Flash to me to try out so I agreed. While he was down here on vacation, at my request he removed my boost controler for me and the power loss was incredible, the car seemed to be back to stock power level. Even though the car felt incredibly slow it took me several months to get my computer to him so he could install the X-Flash(I have a serious procrastination problem). David returned my computer to me and I reinstalled the computer and BAMM!! Power level is back and even feels faster than it was before WITH the boost controler. Did I verify this with a dyno pull? no. Nothing but my butt dyno but I do know that I absolutely love the feel of the car now and I would be willing to bet that it is faster than it was with the previous flash and boost controller. My point in my orginal post was not to slam anyone or any vendor, it was to praise Vishnu and their wonderful X-Flash. I still love it, it rocks. Just today I had a little "incident" with a Mustang that has been gunning for me for quite some time. I see this guy quite often in traffic and he is always reving his motor at me but we just never have been able to get together, well today it happened. He reved at me, I caught up to him and flagged him over to a semi-deserted road and we hit it. I pulled him hard right off the bat but like an idiot I missed second gear in a very bad way. Of course he went right by me but once I got it back into gear I caught AND PASSED him, should have seen his eyes when I went by, classic. Anyway, I have run many a mustangs(own one myself) with my previous flash and I honestly feel that I would not have been able to pull that off with my previous flash. Either way, I am super happy with Vishnu's work and that is/was my point.
