Shiv, consensus on HKS 280's ?
Have a friend that's going to attend the dyno day in April. He was curious about the HKS 280's. I saw that the lifts on them would be equal to that of a 264I/272E combo. Duration is longer I suppose. I'm no expert on this by any means... Would you recommend these on a Stage 1+ setup ? Would it hurt to try or would daily driveablility be drastically affected ? Thanks !
My guess, is that the affect on drivablity with overstep the performance gains. We have tested every cam combo out there, and they all make with in a few HP on eachother. (HKS) In terms of other cams, we have seen pipers, june's and many others, and none of them seem to be as flexable as the HKSs.
I dont think the gains will be justified until they are used with a big turbo car. And even then, they may not be ideal.
However, in the words of Mr. Miller, "Thats just my opinion, i could be wrong."

It is only a short matter of time before Shiv, Martin, Scott Gray, Andrew, Mark (TT), DB, get some hard numbers. Be patient: too soon to get on or off any camshaft bandwagon yet.
