is there a wire on the xede harness i can tap for a tach signal? i know pin 58 on the smallest plug is tach signal, but the xede reads rpm when you hook a computer up. so which wire is it?

thanks man...but i'm looking to get a tach signal by using a vampire clip on one of the xede harness wire so i don't have to use a vamp clip on the ecu wiring. i just need to know which wire in the xede harness reads rpm.

while i appreciate your response and desire to help, perhaps it was overlooked that i want to tap a wire for a tach signal other than the PIN 58. i know that the xede shows rpm when you plug it into a computer and it does NOT tap wire 58 so where does it pick up a tach signal?

I think it is a generated signal from the CAS replicator, not sure if a signal can be obtained by wire tapping. I feel ya ,I hated tapping into wire to pin 58

I cant give a definate answer, but i would use pin 58. What do you want to hook up anyways?

 

a monster tach from sport comp...lol. j/k i recently bought a zeitronix wideband and need a tach signal for dataloging. i would rather not put a permanent cut into the factory wiring harness. thanks for your help. i might just try the CAS and see what happens. worse case no signal?
