I don’t have time for you. I don’t want to argue with you again as you have no experience with cars but that dyno you posted is STD factor (read 10 ~15 WHP more than SAE) this guy has every supporting mode you can put your hands on. You still don’t know anything about cars period. You need to learn my friend and stop wasting your time. I think you should take couple courses

I have driven Az3ar car before... and let me tell you that its a monstar. It pulls soo hard compared to my MR and the only difference between our cars is his turbo!!. the 3071 does spool a little slower than my MR but thats to be expected. But by no means is it too laggy.

After driving his car, I have made the decision that when I upgrade my turbo it will be the 3071! I was waiting for bushars 20g but it has fallen on it face so far.

First, keep in mind that Azar spent 1/2 the money for his turbo upgrade setup than IE. But, with that said, you guys are comparing the wrong cars. Yes, I make about the same power as Azar and have a better "area under the curve." But here is IE's dyno sheet with the exact same SAE correction factor and smoothing:

Look at Azar vs. IE:
RPM...............IE whp/ftlbs ............Azar whp/ftlbs
4000...............175/230....................180/235
4500.............. 290/340....................300/350
5000.............. 380/400....................340/355
5500...............395/375....................320/300
6000...............425/375....................350/305
6500...............445/360....................350/280

What we can see is that IE's Stage 3 has massively more top end power and has pretty much the same spoolup as the 3071. In fact, IE's run wasn't commenced until 3200 rpms, giving it less time to spool for the earliest part of the run. Had that run been started at 2200 rpms like Azar's, I'd bet that IE would have had higher numbers at 4000 and 4500.

thanks for the comparsion. you make a good point about IE Evo's car, but what i really wanted to compare was Az3ar's car and your dyno chart, not IE's.

I think the debate continues b/c when you drop a ton of money into a turbo kit, some people become a bit too psychologically invested in it to listen to what others are saying. Somehow, whenever i bring this up, Az3ar resorts to personal cracks.

Anyhow, Smog, we're going up to Buttonwillow next weekend, you wanna come?

Nope. IE and I are goin' to big drag racing bruhaha at Las Vegas International Raceway. We are gonna try to beat up on some Dynoflash/BR stage 4 guys and one guy with a big turbo upgrade. IE has been talkin' so much crap on their forum that we are prolly both gonna get jumped and beatin' with tire irons...

Smoggy,

Does IE have any head work or an upgraded intercooler (or anything else) or just straight stage 3?

IE does have an upgraded AMS intercooler, but completely stock head, stock intake mani, stock airbox, stock ignition.
