the wire is needed if you want to do the update yourself, as far as i know

you can download the beta V3 from xede.com.au. V3 has the ability to do the firmware conversion. If anyone is really interested call Vishnu and ask for the Boot sequence.

Is that the same release as Vishnu are supplying? I would guess they're supplying a release candidate at least, and preferably the RTM version

AFAIK same release, I declined the conversion last weekend.

Why did you decline? Are there lingering issues with V.3?

Okay, I now have my wire too but no instructions on what to do with it. I dl'ed what I think was the install file from http://www.xede.com.au/software.php but now what?

I love my xede and tweek/tune everyday (it's a sickness, I know) but really want the V3 function upgrade. Been a long time and still no wire!!?? Anyone got a wire they're done using I'll gladly pay for it and shipping.
