Post Tales From the dyno: S-AFC vs. XFlash

03 EVO with full exhaust (no cat), bov, mbc and intake

Custom-tuned S_afc (by another dyno tuning shop) vs. v330 XFlash (with our boost fitting-- MBC removed)

Why was the SAFC run done at 15psi?

I am assuming the axis on the left is psi and the black line is the SAFC. It sure looks like the black line doesn't come close to the 21 psi line.

Looks like my Xflash just i made 275 with a intercooler and fuel pump.

That's because it runs 20psi That's what it was tuned for by the dyno shop. Running more boost, on 91 oct without ignition control (S-AFCs rule! ) is pointless. Results in run to run inconsistency and knock retard.

Kinda unfair since you ran more boost than the afc. About 3 psi more.
