Shiv took my car out for the time trial, and then fuel sloshed on the 2nd lap. I think he did a 2:10, but he couldnt take any of the left hand corners hard, and had to let off at all of the crests.

Thats when this convo took place...

Shiv: "You let me go out with out gas, dude!"
Me: "You drove my car last."
Shiv: "ughhh your right...."
Me: "I win, you loose."

Timing isnt that big of a deal for me. I want to focus on the driving right now, not the stopwatch.

i hear you about the timing thing. i was just curious about where people were out there since the group i was running in didn't have as many evos.

for myself i really use timing as a tool just to see if the adjustments i'm making are
actually helping. i have changed some things in the past that i was sure made the car
faster around the track, that was until i checked the times. instead all i did was make
it more of a handful to drive

btw, did you see the post about the lotus club event at the end of the month at t-hill.
it's on the 30th i think. middle of the week though, but not too bad of a price ($160)
and they only run to groups so you're either on the track or waiting to go on.

there is also a volvo club event that i've been going to for a couple of years now also at t-hill.
a lot of vw guys show up for that one, might be fun to show them what an evo's all about

I was bummed. I only got 2 laps in before I had to pit for fuel. During the first warm up lap, I got fuel slosh coming over the rise on the back loop. Hustled the 2nd lap knowing it would be my last one and managed a 2.10 with some pretty nasty slosh/misfire coming out of every left hand corner. The car (basically a Stg v390 with Ohlins), with gas, is easily capable of 2.07-2.08. Certainly quicker with the likes of Paul G. During the 25hr, our v390 race car we made was running consistent 2.01-2.02s at night in the dark
