cusco diff issue.....

does anyone here have the cusco type mz or rs front lsd. i am at a loss trying to install the damn thing. one of the two bearings from the stock unit that attach to the new diff seems too big . the diff is suposed to be a bolt in replacement. does anyone know if i need to buy new bearing? btw mitsu does not sell any parts inside the transfer case.

not sure about that but most people go with the raliart or the quaife, if it ever comes out that is.

It works great and is a little darty under full throttle when grip isn't great and pulls like nuts through fast sweeping corners. Just don't let off the gas or the rear end will come around real fast.

Only GL 5 diamond oil !

Funny mark...

Yeah, I would try RRE, since they sell so many cusco parts.

On a serious note, It seems as though cusco either changed the design or machined the housing wrong, but most likely the first possibilty. There is a front and rear bearing that need to be taken off extremely carefully so that they can be reused on the new diff (Mistu doesnt sell just the bearing). After getting those bearings off, brandon and myself were dumb founded, because one fit perfectly, while the other is about 2-3mms too big. We are waiting to hear back from cusco on the subject.

We have been waiting patiently since January 2004 for them to be developed, manufactured, and delivered. RRE was/is the sole source in the US and had 55 units built and delivered, all of which have been pre-sold.

You may be able to purchase one from someone on the list who has changed their mind or no longer needs it.
