Those are very exceptional numbers I believe. I have a stage 1+ running at 270whp, but then again i'm on a 91 & have 264/272 cams.

Those are indeed exceptional numbers. That would be more like 345-361 on a Dynojet. (10%-15% over dyno dynamics)

Wow, how many times do people have to explain the difference between a Dynojet and a DD? Is it just me or is it really getting annoying

Actually, 314whp on a DD is somewhere around 360whp on a Dynojet, and there is nothing shabby about that!

It's just a guess, but I'm guessing andrew left some power on the table because the area I live in is known for bad gas. just ask Noize and Rally Red. Rally Red knock zilla owns you... hahah... j/k... how is your car doing by the way. I got that pesky p0300 with the cams, but only when I'm idiling... go figured. I've gotten it about 3-4 times since I got back. Andrew said he got it once will Idiling on the dyno.

as far as the numbers go. I do believe that my car is making pretty good power. I should be around 345-360whp on 93 pump gas. So i'd say it's pretty nice for what mods I have. I can't wait to get a race gas tune, but I'm gonna wait and do a clutch at the same time. So, I'll have to start saving up for that.

I was able to make around 314WHP peak with your car Chad, although IMO at that level boost was pretty high at the top so I did reduce it slightly
I really do not shoot for any particular target A/F ratio....If I can make 305 WHP (far more power than most people can use in a street driven evo anyway IMO) with it running a 10.6 at the top I am going to favor leaving it there....thats just the way I do it.
I am glad you enjoy your car....

Thanks for explaining it. I"m not educated enuff to know how to explain it to everyone. Now everyone can understand the way the car was tuned. Like I said before. I don't really car about a peak number. i just want a good safe tune that is gonna make good power thru out the power range. I'm 100% happy with the car and I can't wait to do a race gas tune, but that's gonna have to wait till I can buy a clutch and have you install it. I'll hopefully be getting with you pretty soon about a clutch purchase. So, untill then. I'm gonna try to take it somewhat easy on the car.

Hehe, I get that darn P0300 code as well now that I have cams installed (though mine are Crower Stage 2's), but like you said only at idle. I read through the P0300 threads and they all seem to get it at about 80mph in 5th gear cruising accompanied with an actual engine hesitation. My car runs like greased lightning and the P0300 never comes on while I'm beating on it or cruising, just at idle. Weird.

I hate having an idiot light illuminate when I know there's nothing at all wrong with my car, and am tired of pulling the neg battery terminal and resetting my radio presets. I bought the eBay "CReader" OBDII tool and am just gonna leave it plugged in and ziptied under my dash as an interim solution. I heard the "Newer "New P0300" reflash" might solve it but there's no way I'm loosing my Xedeflash and having my ECU locked. Oh well, I'm driving my beater car here in Seoul anyway, will play with it once I'm home again in October.

Andrew, any chance V3 might help with this? I've read several people with cams only get P0300 at idle now, but our cars don't "hesitate" or pull any timing, matter of fact they run great, just with an SES illuminated.

how much did you give for the code reader. I need to pick up one of those. I've only gotten the code about 4 times, but it's still annoying. it does look kinda stupid when I'm just sitting there and my CEL comes on. It's just an inconvenience for making power. atleast we can reset it and it's not affecting anything.
