Are the ignition and fuel programs going to keep using the offset mode or are you going to have to move to absolute mode? Kind of like the UTEC.

Not at all. Giving absolute control to fuel and ignition would make the hole auto tuning logic fail miserably. Those were absolute AFR targets. The offset-based MAF table will then autocalibrate itself to achieve those AFR targets. Make sense?

The XEDE is already capable of providing absolute stand-alone-like fuel control by generating it's own absolute MAF output based upon RPM and MAFin (or MAPin via external 3bar map sensor).

I understand what your saying about the Auto tuning. I think it will be a neat program once it available. Is the wideband going to run off one of the 0-5V ports on the XEDE?

I have always known that the XEDE could be used for MAP applications. You would just need to add a AIT sensor so it could adjust to changing weather conditions along w/ a MAP.

But, the MAF works well enough for me.

Just a heads up on some of the stuff we are working on...

Closed loop boost control for the northern midwest get a big !

Basically I see 100+F in summer to -10F in January. That translates into a huge swing in average boost if one doesn't reload the boost map at least twice a year (early spring / late fall).

Yes, autotuning will rely on an unused 0-5v input. And the unused 0-5v output will control a smart methanol system.

Oh yeah. No more windshield washer fluid for me.

Definitely, give me more info on this product when you can.

Autotuning is a cool idea, but man, you'd have to build in so many safeties. Just something as simple as some fewl running a miscalibrated wideband, and your engine will start clicking right along with you XEDE...

Question on the original topic ... when do you guys think you'll have the "fixed" v3 binaries available? Reason I'm asking is that I really don't feel like reflashing the XEDE twice if it's not going to be much longer...

We're testing another version right now. Give us a few more days and we'll post it up for others to try.
