Question v3 'beta' coldstart fix?

I've been hearing/reading that some ppl from the recent dyno days are having coldstart problems with the v3. One reply I saw explained this as saying that v3 is still 'beta'.

When will v3 be non-beta, ie have most of the bugs worked out? Similarly, how many ppl are not seeing any coldstart issues? Is it only affecting some ppl, or does it affect all v3 XEDEs to some degree?

Thanks for any info,

PoloRL

I installed my V3 XEDE last Saturday and have not experienced any cold start issues. My car starts up right away, just like when it was stock.

i don't know what the big deal is. yes, i've had 1 maybe 2 coldstart issues in the 2 months with v3. figure i start my car about 6-8 times a day, thats about one in two hundred chance, and the car does start properly the next time you turn the ignition, so it's a very minor inconvinience that ppl wanna get nit picky about.

I have the same problem. I have to reset my ECU about once a week. You have to apply gas to start the car. sometimes.

I was wondering when Shiv will release V3 release version with the launch control , no start issues and cell issues

I had the cold start issue the first few days after install. Now it starts fine. Maybe it's just a problem in the first 50-100 starts and than it is fine.

I am happy now.

I have the V3 too, I been having the problem too. I was told by Dustina (it was early) at Vishnu that the V3 is still beta and the issue is still being worked on. It doesn't really bother me, but I am looking foward to the fix.

I feel the same way - it would bother me if the car would not start but it does. Its more of a nuisance thing really. Also it doesn't really impress on dates w/ the girlie. Then you get the "nice car" comments.

I must have the V-3 after all. Since stage 3 my car has had this issue. I do not care though as long as it starts I am fine. If u don't want difficult cold starts stay away from a Standalone.

Its okay at that point she can blow me side ways Or I can do a nice pull for her and do a brake check without telling her.
