Installed header AFR leaned out

Installed header AFR leaned out

I installed a ceramic coated header and my AFRs leaned out. I guess my 93 oct custom tune went out the door...

I used Shiv's methanol map thread tutorial to richen the map, added 4% fuel from 6k to red line and 3% from 4k to 5.5k.
How does it look?

right on 11.5 from 6700 to 7500 in third, fourth goes to 11.1~10.9

Shiv, you think I can get away adding .3 deg timing to my map since I added 4% to MAF ?

Hey Jorge,

did the header make a power difference? Where in the power band?

off topic: I want to install my test pipe tomorrow and would like to borrow a wideband O2 for an hour. Do you think you could help me with that?

The header feels like it made power mid and top end. The sound is what impressed me the most, the engine pulses sound "tuned". I actually had to lower my boost table 1 psi below 4500 rpm. I did this before I did the graphs.
If you can find a LM-1 i can help you, I would let you use my zeitronix wideband but it is hard wired into my car.

what header is that? Megan? Who coated the manifold? Looks like my performance coatings job, by the way they suck. My headr is already peeling because I used it on the dyno.

ssauto, that was milled at both flanges for perfect seal and Polydyn coated with their new prototype 3400 F ceramic coating. 3 days of running and it looks exactly as I got it from them.

More than likely, yes. You could probably add as much as 1.0 degree but a good dyno (or even road dyno) would be necessary to ensure no knock retard.

Wow 1 deg! Too bad I'm not close to Cali I'll look into road dyno sw., my pocket PC OBDII logger suxors on sample rate...
I'm keeping it as is for the months to come, it runs great in 95F -100F air. Summer makes turbo'd cars cry

I'm splitting hairs here, but what would be a target AFR at peak torque (5k ) 11.8 or 11.5?
