S.M.A.R.T. & Methanol Question
S.M.A.R.T. & Methanol Question
Before I preorder the S.M.A.R.T. system, I need to understand something:
If the S.M.A.R.T. system constantly updates the fuel trim, how does this work with methanol injection, whereby the fuel requirements change instantly with the onset of injection?

The underlying map must be a methanol map. One cool feature for methanol users is the fact that it will add in fuel if a lean condition is induced from a cut or clogged line. You won't find that safety in any other kit on the market.

If so, you are essentially telling me that the S.M.A.R.T. system operates in conjunction with the loaded map, so if the maps are switched, the S.M.A.R.T. system is effectively 'switched' as well. In other words, what it learns from one map is not applied to the other map (which wouldn't fare well for obvious reasons).
Is this correct?
