New evo owner questions

I searched, no luck. How will a cannonball pcm or xede work on an evo with drop in hks filter, otherwise totally stock? what kind of gains and drivability could I expect with the cannonball on my basically stock evo?

yes, I believe the flash raises RPM and boost, I dont know the HP gains though 10-20? what is a pcm?

I have a(n?) xede with a totally stock MR and I could not be happier. It makes the power delivery much smoother, eliminating the double hump HP graph.

Boost cut/taper is gone, harder pulls, higher psi. Runs like a train.

I run an HKS drop in filter. All the filter will do for you is:
a.) run the car leaner by .2 to .3 points
b.) allow you to hear your turbo spool and BOV vent
There should be no issues with running it alongside a flash or XEDE.

As far as the flash is concerned (and Shiv can feel free to correct me here) - the cannonball flash does NOT control boost. You would have to get the Xflash for that. So I'd expect modest gains with the Cannonball flash, and bigger gains with an Xflash.

IMO, if you can afford it, definitely get the XEDE - it controls boost, has a host of other features and can accomodate future mods on your car ... not to mention the coolest optional feature of all, the SMART system.
