The light will start blinking. Disconnect the wideband power for the night. I am at work right now reworking the instructions.

How critical it is to have the sensor between 10 and 2? The after cat narrow band is is at 4 and I have another port in my testpipe at 4. I would like to use that.

Dangit, I was wondering if that was a smart move or not and almost didn't power it from there....and my solder job was so nice on that part too

I have a couple of friends who have ports at nearly the same location clockface-wise and they have been on the same sensor for over a year. I put mine in the narror band location also as my downpipe is a bit interesting and I didnt' feel like refitting it after they welded the new bung in.

The only problem I ran into is where to place the LC1 control unit. I ended up drilling a couple of holes and attaching it to the side of one of the "subframe" ribbings that runs along the length of the car.

4 is a little on the low side, but if you dont mind loosing a bit of sensor life, go ahead and use it.

thanks...but the dustin has come up with a work around...should be easier than adding the add a circuit...but for those who don't want to wait for shipping the add a circuit will be more than enough.

will these instructions be from the beginning, installing xede and everything?

and how in the world did you get the wideband sensor through that hole in the floor? you push the whole sensor through it from the inside? i havent tried yet, but it didnt look like it would fit..

The instructions will assume that the xede is already installed. However, i can tack those on to the front if it is requested. I got about 95% of the way through last night (I worked until 11:00pm) but i am waiting for one email in order to finish them.

The sensor is pushed from the inside of the car out. It is a tight fit, but it does fit.

Dustin a couple of questions....

What power source are you thinking about to power the wideband's heater?

What are the two extra wires on the knock buffer (i.e. long white and blue wires)?

The wideband only has a single power source, which is the cigarette lighter. I have been working on the updated instructions, they are vastly expanded to answer all of your questions.

The blue and white are for something that will be entergrated into later XEDES. Just leave them tucked away for now. (Don't worry kids, we arent holding anything back from ya!)
