I've got a bunch of Deutsch connectors coming - hopefully in time for the dyno day. For the non-XEDE connector wiring, I picked up the following harnesses (using .093" crimp style pins) from Frys this weekend:

(1) 4-pin harness
(1) 5-pin harness
(2) 1-pin connectors

Got some wire to go with it and I am making them as follows:

5-pin male = LC-1 (Black, Green, White, Blue, Red)
4-pin male = Knock Buffer (Red, Black, Yellow, Pink)
1-pin male = LC-1 (Brown)
1-pin male = LC-1 (Yellow)

The female counterparts are them permanently wired into the car (i.e. power, ground, etc.). Also, even though the pins are meant to be crimped, I still put a dab of solder onto the end of each wire.

See the attached wiring diagram that I came up with. It should be fairly complete for all XEDE related accessories... and I managed to keep the Visio layers ... ooooh! (I didn't know Adobe could do that, until it asked me)

Thanks for the diagram, Ludikraut -- very nice! I think I see where you're going with the 4- and 5-pin connectors, the SMART connections to the Xede are pretty simple. I'll have to see if I can get to the electronics shop before tomorrow, but it's a little hard with the car at Dyno4mance.

Rumor has it that a certain Lamborghini Gallardo might show up to dyno on Saturday.

...There's even a remote possibility of an R33 Skyline GTR on Sunday, but I think Shiv might be gone by then and will miss that one.

Today is the day you guys get to have some serious fun! I am jealous. My oil pan is on a 14 day back order! no cause can be found on why it cracked. Have fun, be safe, and Andrew, I will see you when I get my "dribble" problem fixed!

BAD, but not critical news:

Something happened with Shiv's flight, and he is trying to get placed on a later flight. I'll give updates as I know them!

Just talked to Shiv. He's not on that flight. We're still postponed until tomorrow morning.

I'll be there...... LOL. I am here.

Ludi,
can you get those connectors at like a radio shack or are they a car part specific thing. I would love to use those. Love the visio drawing! I use visio all day at work.

The local stage 3 didn't dyno... Boo Hoo. The only turbo kit has clutch issues.

Hope it's all works out Ludikraut.

I made 300 on 93 with a stage 1++. 320'ish on 96 octane.

I did 3 smart installs and have one more to do in the AM. 2 new and 1 reinstall (don't ask). I found it to be very easy. I will be doing a more detailed write up to help others out. It is not hard at all, it tucks away nice if done correctly. Stay tuned for a write up soon in the Vishnu forums.

SMART Rocks. The part throttle drivability is AWESOME! Lifting is smooth like butter. Iddinit? No sudden jerk. The AFR's rule.

OWNED by SMART!
