i was about to order xede and i was just downloading the software to look at the maps! im confused with the v2 and v3..i have an 05 evo...which software do i use? and where do i get the maps from? i have greddy cat-back, ultimate racing test pipe, k&n drop filter, hallman mbc, and s-afcII! so that means i will be loading the 91 octane stage zero map, right? i also have the hks ssqv vta, do i continue to use it, or should i go back to stock? sorry for all these questions, i dont want to spend $1000 and dont know how to use it?

 

You're basically at stage zero right now....get rid of the hks bov, mbc, and s-acfII...use the cash to get a dp, which puts you at zero+. It's best to use stock air filter, however if you get SMART upgrade I think the k&n panel will be fine. V2 is older program, V3 uses S.M.A.R.T. , do a search on it; its awesome, but very in depth. SMART constantly ajusts all ems parameters for optimal safety and output. Maps can be downloaded from vishnu site under the tab xede support. I currently have stage zero+ with testpipe and its awesome. You won't be disappointed.

i checked the maps..and it says 05 version 2 maps? so does tat mea i use v2 software?

 

The V330 2005 map......it is v2.....the v3 is still technically a beta version...these maps can only be downloaded from an evom thread I believe. Gimmie a few minutes and I'll see if I can find some links for you.

Just noticed that the '05 maps aren't linked to the on the site... it's ok though because you can probably find them on here.....they should be on the vishnu site soon though. When they ship you're xede it will already have two maps of your choice loaded in it if you want.

You can hook a switch to xede to chose one of the two maps in it, you only need a computer to upload/erase/modify the maps in xede. When you order they will ask you which maps you want loaded. I would say go with '05 91 zero for map 1( the one that will load if you don't hook a switch to it) and either an '05 91 zero+ or '05 91 one map for the secondary. This way when you get a dp or a dp and cam gears, you can just switch maps. The map switching process is outlined in the install instructions I believe. This would save you from having to upload maps at least for a little while, until you've had a little time with the unit and figured it out.

wat is stage 0+...i only know subzero, zero and stage 1....so i want stage zero for 1st map, and stage 1 for second map, right?

 

that'll work....zero+ is stage 1 w/o cam gears.....it can get a lil' confusing since now they use the stage names and the Vxxx names too.
