Question Launch Control Rev Speed - Configurable?

First off I am very greatful that Shiv released the stutterbox and NLTS.

I have it hooked up and its working great but I have a request......

Can we get the stutterbox to rev faster?

On every other car I've owned and this includes other 4G63 vehicles....they reved much quicker. What piece of data needs to be modified to get the stutter to rev faster?

I don't really understand what you're asking. Do you want the enginer to rev up to the rev limit faster? If so, get a lighter flywheel... Do you want it to bounce off that limiter at a faster rate? I have no idea how to accomplish this.

I mean the time between bounces....

now I get something like this:

Rev...........Rev............Rev............

I want

Rev..Rev..Rev..Rev..Rev..Rev..

I'm not talking about a lighter flywheel or changing the RPM that the limit is set at. I want less dead time between bounces.

Gotcha... good question, maybe if you set it to take out 50% fuel instead of 100??? I don't even know if that would change anything.

Yeah, on DSM stutterboxes, it's almost like a machine gun effect. I think he's saying right now it's more like a semi-auto

Yes, there is a way to reduce the effective hysterisis. Right now, it will need to be done in the mapping. Later on, we'll integrate it into the launch control parameter (it will no longer be a normal map). But for now, try this...

Instead of having the LC map look something like this: 0 0 0 -100 -100 -100
Try this: 0 0 -25 -50 -100 -100

You should see it "studder" more and actually misfire, instead of just fuel cut, drop and bounce back.

They'll be in in a 15 min or so. They are just out rounding up some parts for today's install jobs.

I just changed mine and its much better than it was.! Thanks!

I did find one bug in the config though....not related to speed of rev.....because I have a stock clutch, I set my launch RPM to 5k ....well when rowing through the gears....if you run to redline the car will still cut fuel even when the clutch is out....not sure why. I am hoping it was just me....but I dont think so.
