Another launch control thread...
i don't have smart....
how do you find something like that out? launch control used to be on the top of the list, until we got a make-shift one taking up a map....
lets not settle for 'par'.

Please don't feel that it is make shift. It is a fully working solution. However, It seems that many don't know how to use it properly, which is why further development is being requested. Like I said, we are not done developing evo xedes, but we do have a development line up, which we have to follow. We will do our best to squeeze this in. We have a lot of really smart guys on our forum, and the more help we can get from you, the faster we can get it up and rolling. The shop manual has sensor info.

i know how to use it, the car doesn't like it. you either have to launch at at really high RPM so the NLS works, or you have to not use the launch control and have a NLS.
we were supposed to have something that was a toggle on/off type of an option, not something taking up a map....remember?
just trying to motivate you guys, i know you are busy....but i have no clue how to test/try something like this.

You can toggle it on and off with a switch on the clutch wire.

Ok.. i'm working on how to make the launch control and NLS have two different RPM triggers. What will probably happen is that the launch control will be a 1 time only act. That is, it will only work ONCE right after a map switch. After that one launch, it will disable, leaving only NLS working. Would that be suitable for most peoples needs?

IM sorry, i don't quite understand. Are you saying we will have to toggle to another map to have the launch control active again? How is that gonna work, as we can only fit one big map on the xede?
Also, is it going to be possible to not have a NLS at all this way? Like, be able to have launch control set up at 5500 or whatever, then immediately disabled for the rest of the run?
is it not possible to use the speed signal? or just too tough to find out?

Or a shiny red button on the left side of the streering wheel.
I would actualy consider putting a small momentary contact button on the back of the steering wheel on the plastic cover back there. One you could reach with your fingers.
Contact (closed)=Launch/NLTS enabled
