What causes this?

Was at a high speed event this weekend.....and I had multiple people come up and tell me that I may be running a little rich. I am running the standard 93 octane stage zero plus map.

Here is a clip:

Yes I am catless.....but does it really mean that I am overly rich?

Not really, instead of the cat burning any excess fuel the flame goes out the tail pipe.

My car does the same thing, and we check the tune on my car once every 1 or 2 months, just for the sake of checking it. The results always come back perfect, yet the flames are always firing away at the track. Its really nothing to worry about.

nope. There are a few droplets of fuel that get unburned when you lift off the throttle just after high boost. It does not mean you are running rich under boost.

LOL....its USAINTERNATIONALRACEWAY in Shawano WI....however I've been to Grattan and that track is very similar to this one. I definately prefer tracks that have altitude changes. All high speed tracks kick **** but there is no comparing Grattan to Gingerman.

It started raining later in the day: http://media.putfile.com/Jeff-Jeske-...liding-his-EVO

I hope the fire is normal.....I didn't even know I was shooting flames until this event....I wonder what people on the street think!!!
