ETA for IX Xede

Perhaps I missed it somewhere, but would you happen to know the ETA for the IX Xede Shiv? I'd hate to spend ~$750 for a reflash when I could spend the extra few hundred dollars more and have an Xede.

Thanks

I'm very interested in this also Shiv. Been hearing all the news about your work with the IX and mine is just about broken in and ready to have some fun!

We've already ordered ECU connectors for the plug-n-play harness. Unfortunately, the lead times are long. So unless you want to wire the XEDE in (like you wire in the boost wire on the VIII harness), the wait time may be 2-3 months. This technique doesn't involve any cutting but the wire extraction process will take a few minutes to do and require a tiny screwdriver (and perhaps a bit of finesse). The good news is that it looks like we can either control VVT with the XEDE or let the stock computer do it.

Oh, by the way, when is the next Xede update due out, with things like launch control built in as a setting instead of a table?

Can we pre-order a plug and play harness?

If I have an evo8 Xede, can I trade it in or send it to Vishnu for an upgrade to an evo9 unit? How much would that cost?

Thanks

I'm guessing you would just need the new harness if you wanted it PnP, other wise you could just splice it and load up the IX software?

The actual XEDE is going to be unchanged. The only thing you will need to adapt an XEDE to an IX is a harness-- either wire-in or plug in (when available). We don't have any XEDE maps for the IX yet but as soon as we do, we'll make the necessary announcements

Bump for 06 tuning.
Thinking about getting another Evo, which would be an 06, and thinking about going with the Xede this time around.

Awaiting news...

Just creating a cross-reference to a thread on the same topic:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=177417
Maybe these 2 threads can be merged?

BTW jasonc32amg, you do not need to post in a thread to subscribe to it.
