Calculating airflow?
Got a question ...
Can I calculate the amount of air flowing into my engine by looking at the MAF logs?
I am basically trying to figure out a way to calculate my engine's VE, for which I assume I will need to be able to calculate/log boost and airflow, correct?

hmm, thats a good question, but the Airflow is logged in loads which are always going to be different so you would have to do a couple runs in 3rd gear or so and average your data before you can do the equation...somebody correct me if im wrong
nevermind im confusing myself

To calculate my VE, I'm thinking that I will still need to log boost along with MAF though, because, for example:
if 100% VE, 2.0l block, 5000 rpm, 19 psi equals to 405 cfm
then measuring 365 cfm with the same setup (2.0l, 5000 rpm, 19 psi) should mean that I am actually operating at 90% VE, correct?

PS.: the above calculation may be slightly off ... too lazy to double-check if I used the right conversion value for PSI.

So does anyone have a conversion table for the stock MAF? I.e. something like 1000 Hz = xxx cfm (or whatever units).
Shiv must have something like this, otherwise how would they know how much to adjust the MAF signal...
