Vishnu Olins "Gerrard" Spec setup
I've had the Vishnu/Gerrard-ized Ohlins on my car for a few months now. They are pretty remarkable overall-- the car remains stuck on a surprisingly wide range of surfaces. It does not get upset by full-bore driving over broken pavement, while still offering track-level performance. I've only had limited track time with the setup but at the limit it was predictable and adjustable.
A full set of setup instructions is provided with the revalve, everything from ride height, which bushings to use, alignment specs, damper settings etc.
I'm running 450/550 springs, stock sways, stock wheels/tires. On the "street" damping settings the ride is firm, make no mistake, but not crashy. Overall I'm very pleased with them; I just wish I had more time to drive the thing now.

the resupply problem is due to the switching of the R/T manufacturing from USA to Japan. They are supposed to be the same specification, but the newer units are more of a consumer throw away design. I can find a number of places that will let me re-valve my Ohlins (bought over a year ago) but it's nearly impossible to find a rebuild kit for the strut bodies.
Ohlins is working on that solution now.

It has been developed with the assistance of a shock dyno and extensive testing by a professional driver who also happens to be an engineer. It has both been tuned to be fast at the track and yet very compliant on the street. I believe they have gone through 28 different variations of the valving to perfect the setup and from what I hear it is still evolving.
I don’t believe that anyone else has developed coilovers for the Evo to this extent but I am also unfamiliar as to how John Mueller arrived at his setup. I have heard that they are fast on the track but have no direct exposure to them.
Quality R&D adds cost. I will say that every time I drive or ride in Paul’s car I am blown away by how good it is
