Creader vs. Scantool (Auterra) question

I am about to get the Auterra OBD-II logging software. Does it make any difference to SMART whether I run the Creader or whether I am logging via my PC? I assume that part of the Creader's effectiveness is the fact that it automatically clears codes, right?

SMART doesn't care what you use. I don't use a Creader or any other scan tool on my car.

Just curious. Are you also using the SMART timing maps with Advanced timing under the Happy Zone?

I have, but I am currently not since I have been adjusting my SMART timing noise floor. Advance timing is good .

I understand some have been able to run with the advance Smart Timing without the Creader and others have to use the Creader to suppress SES codes in relation to the advanced timing.

My car is P0300 resistant. Which is kind of funny since the car makes all kinds of engine, clutch, and decel noises.
