Stage 1+ at altitude is when the stocker starts needing to be upgraded AFAIK. You were on stock cams at sea level, yes? OEM pump can handle that with ease IMO.
That run that Smogrunner made was at the now defunct Carlsbad Dragstrip. The dragstrip was at about 600' above sea leval. BTW Carlsbad was notorious for never having up to date timeslips. I think all of the timeslips I had when I raced there were dated 1980

Sorry, when I say sea level, I mean not great altitude, like in CO or someplace where the air is more thin like 3500' plus where you could overrun the stock pump easier. Our track is at 480' here, and nowhere near of overrunning the stock pump with a stage 1 car.
