Uh. I would recommend getting a book and reading. Start with the highest stage on shivs maps for now?

Start adding timing in .5 increments and watch the SMART timing table like a hawk. You have to remember that when you take out fuel you add timing advance.

For pump gas, I zero'd out the whole timing map from 0-4500rpm and from 4500-8000rpm I put in -1. That will be a good starting point. You'll find that you can add positive timing in the 0-4000rpm range. I never had a value over 2 since I was pulling out so much fuel in those ranges. In the upper RPM (5500-8000) range you "probably" will never have a positive number.

Hey jj 008 I did the like you suggested zeroed out the Timing till 4000rpm’ and I put -1.5 from 4500-8000rpm’s and I noticed that I have more lag that way, before it hit around 4000rpm’s and now it hits around 5000rpm’s so what do you think could that make such difference in spool, below are my maps the GT35RKec is my old map and the GT35R0Timing is my new map so let me know what do you think thanks.

I don't have Xmap at work, but what values did you have in there before in the 0-4000rpm range? Were they positive, negative, or just zero'd out? Did you have any knock activity? I will take a look at your maps when I get home.

Hi I had it zeroed out till 3500 thanks for a prompt answer and how are you 100% certain that you don’t have a knock?

If your SMART timing is going into the negative region then you are getting knock. If not, then you are OK.

Your map looks like a much better starting point since you pulling out so much fuel. There shouldn't be a spool up difference between the 2 unless there is some knock events going on. I say go with what works .

The XEDE allows you to adjust timing w/o SMART. SMART allows the XEDE to make real time fuel and timing adjustments.
