Odd boost problem -- Need Suggestions

Okay..... I installed my EBAY O2 housing this weekend and afterwards when I took the car for a spin my boost (previously set to spike at 22 then fade to 17) spiked to nearly 25PSI and eventually dropped to 20.

So I opened my boost map and took some boost out of the RPM range where the car was spiking and then went for another ride. This time the car started at wastegate pressure and then slowly climbed to 16PSI. VERY STRANGE. Nothing else had changed only the boost map.

I figured the XEDE didn't fully boot so I shut the car down and waited to start it up again. Same thing very low boost. I figured the map I loaded was corrupt so I again uploaded and burned the new set of maps (only change in boost table). Again very low boost.

So I crawled under the car and check the solinoid as well as all the lines and they appear to in tip top condition. So I put 100 in the boost map across the board and I get the same low boost.

I watch the boost map as I drove the car and it barely got to 60% load. Is that common? I know the load values aren't and exact science but that seems pretty low. I also watched the load value on the timing graph and it too read no where near 100%. I am at a loss.

Any ideas on what to check next? I'll be doing a leak test tomorrow but honestly I doubt its a leak.

Help .... any suggestions welcomed.

Sure the O2 housing doesnt interfere with the WG flapper? What happens when you pur the BC pin back in the ECU?

Is the Xede led green and not blinking orange when this happens?

Load will only go to 60 on a Stage 1+

I am almost 100% sure it is the o2 housing. It happened to me and to many others. Once you run out of easy stuff to check while problem shooting, go back to stock housing.

The thing is....after the O2 housing install, the boost was very strong too strong so I had to lower it. The only change I made was to the boost table. Next trip out it wouldn't hold boost. If you have had problems with this were you able to explain the cause?

I made absolutely sure the light was green this morning. I even downloaded the maps to check the boost table configuration. Same deal as before from 3k-4k boost is about 13PSI then it begins to climb until redline but never quite makes it to 20PSI.

Thanks for the loading info. Strange that almost half of my map is going to unused.

Update to my above statement.....the light does turn green ....UNTIL....I get in the throttle hard then it turns red. Is this the way it is supposed to work?

The red goes back to green after I get off the throttle. HELP!!!

No, something is shorting out somewhere. Make sure all you harness connections are OK. I would call Vishnu and ask whats up.

Sounds like your mapswitching wires are touching each other during hard cornering?

I will double check the map switching wires. I never switch maps and have them taped up as well as cut to different lengths so I wouldn't suspect them.

The strange thing is the unit had been functioning perfectly up till the new boost table load.

I'll go through the harness tonight.

Ok boys and girls problem solved. Somehow I managed to pull the ground wire out of its connector. Once I fixed that all was fine and dandy except for the fact that now with the EBAY O2 housing I am able to boost much higher than before.

I'm running my boost map at 85% till 5500 then 92% and that holds a solid 22PSI to redline.

To me this is very odd. I used to not be able to hold 18PSI at redline.

Anyway thanks for the helpful suggestions. Its nice to have 300WHP back again.

Glad you firgured it out...I ended up soldering all my ground wires to the connector.

That 02 housing is a great mod!
