Two step rev limiter rpm setting for 3071
Used NLS exactly as everyone here recommended... -50 -75 -100.... Best 60' I could muster wit it was a 1.74 and best ET was a 12.3 @ 109MPH. As stated before, the car studders too much between shifts...
Same night, disable that LC/NLS BS, I ran the time/MPH in my sig.
Vishnu doesn't do drag racing unfortunately, so I would venture to say Shiv spends nearly no time trying to optimize this feature. In order for it to work properly it needs to randomly cut fuel from multiple cylinders but not simultaneously to make the stutters more rapid and for less of a "hit" to occur when the clutch is depressed between shifts. The Xede can't do that, so we's gots what we's gots, dat be it....

If you can finesse your 60' on your own, you don't need LC.
I can promise you the NLS killed my trap by 2.5mph. It killed my friend Chris' trap by 3mph.
vishnu makes the claim here http://www.vishnutuning.com/Smart/SM...20Tutorial.htm
i also havent used it cause i feel my car loose power so what i did is that i zero out the launch control table but check what they claim

Let me post another supposition, and this is in no way directed towards you, but Evo owners and car drivers in general.
99.63% of people on the road can't drive well enough to deserve their license. Since more spirited drivers buy Evos, lets say 90% of Evo owners can't drive. This LC/NLS solution will help them be faster. They can't launch their cars well or shift fast, so their 400WHP cars run high 12s, they activate this solution which helps them launch and shift a bit faster, all of a sudden they're running low 12s. Their car is capable of 11s, but that's besides the point. They're now .5sec faster. Claim is true..... for them.
I've been racing cars for a while now, in no way shape or form am I an expert, but I know what I'm doing. I don't need LC to help me be faster.
OK, here is my fix...
ready.....
are you sure....
OK, I'm going to get a momentary contact switch. You know one of those annoying switches that you have to hold to be on and when you let go it is off. Like the manual spray side of the IC spray switch (which I thought about using). Then I am going to mount it somewhere easy to get to, like by the shifter. Then I am going to wire in the LC wire to that so I can try it for 1st gear and then NOT have it for the up-shifts. I would just have to hold it when I want to be able to launch and let go and LC will be disabled. Or you could make a valet/girlfriend mode by putting a regular toggle and setting the LC to 3500 RPM.
Thoughts?
