I am still using the original S.M.A.R.T. set up from the Tuning Technologies dyno day from 7/2005. Will this map work with that firmware or will I need to update to a newer version?
This is the same screen I get. Whenever I have tried to go in and set up the conditional treshold for the SMART fuel map, it always comes up with a message "warning, this feature has not been fully implemented". If you proceed to set up the conditional treshold, and then save it, when you go back to double check the set up everything has reverted to default values.

I have a feeling the beta testers and recent dyno day participants are the only ones with an Xmap version that allows conditionals to be set up. I think until Vishnu releases the conditional version, the rest of us are in hurry up and wait mode.

I have PM'd Dustin about this to see if he can confirm my suspicions.

Wow, that's interesting. Well, I hope Dustin or Shiv can shed some light on this issue.

The screen shot shows the pre-conditional Xmap. You need the new firmware plus Xmap 3.2.0.16 to run conditionals

Where would I get the 3.20.16 version? The Vishnu site only shows the V.3.2.0.7 for download. The ChipTorque site doesn't show it either. As for the firmware, I must be really outdated since we were the first group to get the S.M.A.R.T. features installed on our Evos back in 07/2005.

Hang tight till Monday. I'll ask Dustin to post up the necessary files and instructions. Simple firmware update plus a few other buttons to click (recovery mode, timing pattern selection and serial # input). Should take a minute or so if you are familiar with firmware updating.

Thanks Shiv. I am also hoping to get my map switching feature functioning again. Will this new firmware allow this?

Why doesn't it work now? It's not firmware dependant.

When I first saw you back in 07/05 at the Tuning Technologies Dyyno day, you advised me that it was a glitch in the S.M.A.R.T. set up at the time. Unfortunately, I have had to manually upload my maps when I needed to change them at the dragstrip since then.

Ah ok... I remember now. It wasn't a glitch. You just had too many maps in one map bank. You should be fine now since you'll be able to eliminate the fuel threshold map and get back the space necessary for two discrete map banks.

Fantastic! So when the new X-Map becomes available, I should be good to go with my existing S.M.A.R.T. firmware?

You'll have to update your firmware and xmap. As well as delete your fuel threshold map and reconfigure your smart fuel table. It's pretty easy. Should only take a few minutes. Other than that, your existing maps will work just fine.

Well, I woot-ed too soon

I PM'd Dustin about this and found out the following: The upgade they have available is a patch-job affair. There are some work-arounds to deal with if you go this route.

Dustin's advice: sit tight and wait. I have not heard back from him on an ETA for the conditional release. So like so many good things Vishnu is hatching, be patient (gawd, I hate doing that...my id demands immediate gratification! ).
