So what up with the XEDE IX update & harness. The car has been available for 8 months, whats the delay. A lot of people want to get on with modding their IXs....

 

calm yourself man, this isn't some ghetto backyard fabrication depot! shiv is pretty much a one man army and he's always traveling and tuning cars, which I'm sure is first priority. It'll come out when its ready whether that be now or in six more months. If you're in such a hurry to mod just get flashed!

 

Yes agreed, but you are missing the point as to why we keep on asking the same question over and over.

We just want an ETA so we can decide what to do next: wait or get something else. We have been waiting for 8 months already, and therefore do not want to get a flash if the harness will be out next week. We want an ETA so we can make up our mind as to what to do and not loose too much $$ in the process. Maybe for you $500 is nothing, but for me it feeds my entire family for a month.

For example, if ETA for the harness is going to be 1 year, I'd sell the Xede and get something else.
If the ETA for the harness is next week, I would not want to go get a flash tomorrow.

Get the idea? We just want an ETA so we can make a decision we will not regret 2 days later.

Maybe Shiv can give us "waiting version" of a mail in flash that expires when the harness comes out

dont quote me on that....it could be tomorrow or next month. Companies dont like it very much when people keep asking questions. They will give updates as much and as soon as they can. They want to make money too but they can only work as fast as they can and rest assured that Shiv or anyone else at vishnu will give an update or just tell everyone when it is ready.

 

I think everyone agrees that no company wants to provide their product secrets before it is released, or provide updates of progress as if we were their investors. I would say everyone here is willing to wait for a good and proper product instead of having some hack earlier. Our goal is not to pressure the tuner to have a product sooner than they are ready, we are only asking for an ETA so that we can make our own plans accordingly - that is it. Just give us an idea of a time frame... days, weeks, months, years... simple as that.

 

Shiv and company, please give us an update with respect to the development of the xede for the evo 9.

 

I dont think you need to post in two different threads asking for an update for the IX xede. Im sure they are very busy and still working on this product. There is no point in rushing something to the market unless they feel it is ready to be released. It would be nice to know what is going on but they need time to work their magic with it and make sure they can release the best possible product for us.

 

Again, you are missing the point of the question. We are asking for a status update or an ETA. We are not pushing the company to realease anything that is not ready or ahead of their plans.

Even if it will not be ready for another year, we are fine with that. But please do let us know so we can sell our current Xede's and get something else in its place if that is the case. Having an Xede as an expensive paper weight is kind of usless - don't you agree?

We are all Vishnu fans here, otherwise we would not have their products in our hands.

The only reason that I can think of why they wouldn't have set a ETA yet is because they know that it will be awhile and they don't want you to sell your XEDE... Once you sell yours to someone at a discount, they lose a potential customer that would have paid them the full price otherwise. It's just business.
