Quiet Turbo Back exhaust w/o a cat for a evo 9

Is there such a thing? I had the Tipan and it rocked as far as noise goes. Is there anything like this on the market?

Your best bet is going back to stock or Fujitsubo RM-01 catback exhaust. I did a lot of researches on this since my TBE (w/ HFC) was supposed to be one of quietest system and it isn't as quiet as I would like at this point. Just my .02.

I concur, the Taipan rocks! Great mellow sound that isn't overly loud at all and doesn't drone whatsoever. I used a dynomax "bullet" race muffler as my test pipe and couldn't tell any volume difference between the HFC I previously ran.

I believe Paul (rallyred evo) has the OG taipan fitted to his Evo 9 with only a slight modification.

RSR EX Mag

I have the RSR Ex Mag, very quiet CB exhaust. It's got a great looking doublewalled tip (no rice can), it's black (stealth), fits great under the car, no rubbing, it's a straight through design with a larger oval ("turbo style") muffler. No drone at any speed, barely any louder than stock at idle. It's 80mm, necks down (from exhaust flow better to have an expanding pipe like this, call it "neck up") to fit stock cat and has no secondary muffler. I can't stand loud exhausts, nor will tolerate drone in the 3K-4K rpm range where I cruise. I likely won't go above 350whp. I havent decided to go catless yet or not.

yanking the cat changes things, but this muffler might be what you're looking for and this type of muffler changes the sound in such a way as to be pleasant even at higher db volumes. It meets the 95db requirement with NO silly insert.

I think Atlmethevo is looking for a full dump-back system with high flow cat and DP.

Correct. I would like a test pipe as well but worst case I can get one made. Where does Paul live again and does he park outside?

the RRE stealth exhaust is just as quiet if not even more quiet than the stock exhaust and it's a full 3 inch exhaust that is completely flat black.
